The Joker, Clown Prince of Crime, is Batman's arch-nemesis. An agent of chaos known for his purple three-piece suit and insidious smile, he has caused Batman more suffering than any other villain he has ever faced. His origin and true motivations are shrouded in mystery.

Is it wrong to look up to joker and want to be exactly like him.

how could it ever be wrong to look up to the joker, he is the clown prince of crime, pretty much an icon, although..... there is that whole completely out of his mind thing... but thats more like, a minor inconvinience

Is it wrong from a moral and ethical standpoint? Yes. It's also just stupid because you can't just become exactly like the Joker. He's insane. You cannot will your sanity away. Furthermore, even if you were to become insane, the likelihood of you being anything like the joker is nil.

Ridiculous? No.
A pathetic fantasy borne of silent dismay towards a world that also wont give you what you want? Yes.
Will you be like The Joker someday? No.

I wouldn't say insane, its a much too negative word. I think interestingly different  covers it.
