One of the scariest super villains in the DC universe that can kill people without the use of any deadly physical force at all. I have to say his face looks a lot like the Green Mask from The Mask.

He is absolutely great, and severely underestimated.

I know this thread is almost a decade old but since Johnny is back, may as well bump it.

Johnny Sorrow is much more than just an ugly guy. He is the King in Yellow. He is the Crimson King. He's Nyarlathotep. He's the Walker Between Planes. People don't die when they look at him because he is ugly, they die because living beings just can't comprehend his physical (metaphysical?) form. And it affects every being on some level, from gods to mortals. Even Dr Mid-Night who is blind had a heart attack.

Unfortunately, he just ran into Wonder Woman who knows a thing or two about fighting people she can't directly look at... turns out even Johnny doesn't like his own looks.

Apparently the insane can.
