New 52 Constantine Respect Thread

#1 Edited by Strider92 (16032 posts) - - Show Bio

John Constantine Respect Thread:

Offensive Magic:

Creates a small sun incapacitating Andrew Bennett:

Incinerates a cultist:

Creating explosions:

The turnabout curse. John uses a spell to reflect all the damage he sustains onto the person who inflicted it killing the person in question:

Random Uses Of Magic:

Demonstrates teleportation and illusion casting by altering space and time:

More teleporting:

Ripping open a portal to the astral plane:

Knows how to create protection circles that once entered he cant be harmed:

Jams a gun:

John seems to be immune to possession:

Can freeze people in place:

Uses a spell to restrain Andrew Bennett:

Constantine says he can BFR things to other realities:

Traps a large demon:

Forces Swamp Thing to release him. Swamp thing even acknowledges how dangerous he is:

By far one of John's best feats thus far. Traps and abducts the Phantom Stranger and pulls him through space and time against his will:

Then once he's done speaking to the Phantom Stranger he then proceeds to send him back, again against the Phantom Strangers will:

Intelligence and Cunning:

John has been documenting nearly every major superpowered character in the DC-verse:

Because of this his doppelganger (an incarnation of himself) is able to trap Flash because of Constantine's contingency plan for him:

Talks the Spectre out of killing him:

Tricks Sagron into summoning a demon and states that their trap wouldn't have held him anyway:

Constantine can use Zatanna's backwards magic:

John cuts Swamp Thing off from his power incapacitating him:

The House Of Mystery:

Constantine is currently the master of an artifact called the house of mystery a house that exists outside space and time:

Anyone who enters the house is bound to John and he can summon them and use them as he pleases:

As the house exists outside of reality it can travel anywhere on or off earth:

The house even has its own defenses and will attack intruders and create illusions:

The house has its own army too:

The Phantom Stranger says that the house exists outside of time so absolutely no time passes in the real world while John is in the house......so they basically just gave a master prepper unlimited prep time?

How's John Constantine's New 52 series been so far? Is it any good?

I really liked the little trick he used on Swamp Thing last issue.

How's John Constantine's New 52 series been so far? Is it any good?

The first issue and second issue were ok, nothing special

the third issue was really confusing and boring to be honest because part of it involved the plot of issues 1 & 2 and then suddenly and out of nowhere the Specter appears to do...

I dont remember, i just remember that he leaves and then the ongoing plot ends but I dont remember how or why.

I didnt read issue 4 cause as you can see from my comments i didnt care much for this story but I read very very harsh reviews about it, I think CBR review gave it 1 star and said something like this is everything everybody fear of the Constantine book, a pg-13 hellblazer, or something like that.

This wasn't in the New 52 right? O.O don't remember him appearing in that series yet.

I, Vampire #18 I think could be #17 though.

Damn, that's impressive.

If Constantine's feats of trickery match his old feats, the guy is bound to be a nigh-unbeatable prep god.

Is Demon Knights any good?

@strider92:

He appeared in the latest issue of Swamp Thing. And Snyderbro, you're on a wiki site...

The reception has mostly been positive from what I've seen and you can't really take CBR's reviews seriously at times.

@strider92: Do you plan to upload any scans from the recent issue of Constantine with Shazam in and how he tricks Shazam into giving away his powers?

*gasp* You're a fan of Constantine, Lvenger? I thought you hated his brand of anti-hero character.

I like some anti heroes. Key word being SOME lol. Constantine is a massive jerk but he's a complex character and a Brit. Even if he is a Liverpuddlian as we Brits refer to those from Liverpool :P I've just never gotten into the much superior Hellblazer though.

Would you say post-52 Constantine is far more powerful than pre-52. Pre-52 was noted for his lack of immediate raw power and the need to plan and prepare. If caught unprepared he almost had not defense. This was seems to have greater access to immediate magical might.

What's happening to John right now, after Trinity War?

#25 Posted by ComicStooge (11835 posts) - - Show Bio

Anyway, does anyone have the scans of ConJob being immune to Pandora's box?

@comicstooge: He's building a team to fight a beast (Blight) that is amped the evil in human psyche. Constantine,Nightmare Nurse and Swamp Thing goes to the dimension of Collective Uncounscious of every being, souls that ever lived to strike back and they're defeated, then Constatine cast The Trinity of Sins to help them.

@strider92: Where are you mate?

@matchesmalone21: I'm in the middle of moving so I only have access to the internet at work during my break period :( no time to keep things updated but you guys seem to be doing the job for me anyhow :p. I'll add the new feats to the original post when my personal internet is back up!
