Am I the only one who thinks we all could use more Constantine ? I would love to see a Constantine revival.

I liked it. I seem to have a penchant for enjoying things other people despise.

The movie got me into constantine, but compared to the comic it's rubbish.....constantine rules!!!!

Have you read All His Engines? That is one of if not my favorite Constantine books

I don't believe I have. I do pick up any trades I find at Half Priced books, however, so I will probably have the pleasure of reading it eventually.

Plenty of new trades out there -- the last 2 are from Denise Mina. Hellblazer has consistently great writing no matter who writes it. Maybe they just get good writers?

I know. I just don't like paying full price for trades.

I really, really like the 4-trade series where he's in the states. Starting w/ Hard Times (kick ass art by Richard Corben) & ending with Highwater. GREAT piece of fiction.

It's just hard to buy the old TPBS while trying to keep up to date with the new ones......

I liked the Movie just Fine..But as most of you know it doesnt really compare with the Comics. Hollywood is doing well to bring our faves to the big screen but the real "Constantine" would have been much more gritty and maybe even a lot more violent. Keanu is Keanu and I honestly think he did an ok job with the role. Lets hope that if they bust out a sequel they will add the more interesting character traits that John has to offer..hes pretty much an irreverent, cussing, drinking, smoking bad ass! The comics will always be better than the film.

One of My biggest complaints with the movie was that at the end, after the devil had taken the cancer from his lungs, he put a stick of gum in his mouth instead of a cigarette. Comic book Constatine, even after all he had been through, would still defiantley put a cigarette in his mouth and smoke!!

True, in the comic he can't die, as he double sold his soul to the lords of hell........he's one of the deepest yet mysterious characters out there...

I loved Denise Mina's run. I liked the movie as a movie, but as a movie about Constatine it was complete rubbish. Also, Hellblazer has been published continuously for 19 years. Someone besides just me is reading it.
