Right.....

So, I've come to the conclusion I wanna pick up Hellblazer. but since the series started in the eighties, I have no idea which issue to start with.

Is the last issue a good jumping on point?

best issue to start with... #1 lol

but seriously now, if you want to get into this amazing series, go pick up the TPB's first, they'll give you an accurate reading of what the comic is like and bring you into the characters gracefully....

i'd reccomend, in order...

  1. Hellblazer: Original Sins
  2. Hellblazer: Rare Cuts
  3. Hellblazer: Tainted Love
  4. Hellblazer: Damnation's Flame
  5. Hellblazer: Freezes Over
  6. Hellblazer: All His Engines

all of these should be available at your local comic store / book shop...

if not, they're readily available online, have a search on Amazon or something and you'll find them pretty easily

give me a shout if you need the ISBN's or anything

M

I suggest you start with the "dangerous habits" arc it defines the character very well

i would start with Brian Azzerello's run, and then follow that into Mike Carey and subsequently Andy Diggle's respective runs. Azzerello's is my personal favorite, but Carey's is the most integral and Diggle's is of course the more recent. alot of people will tell you to pick up Garth Ennis' run, but i've got to disagree, personally.
