The Sarah Connor Chronicles Have Been Terminated
I mentioned before that I liked the show but was never fully committed to it. I am still behind in my viewing and have maybe half a dozen episodes sitting on my DVR. I'll still watch them someday. I always thought the show had potential once I started watching it. My only problem and concern was how it would fit into the overall storyline. With all the changes in time/history, it's hard to keep up with the different timelines. I was never clear if this changed events in T3 or had any relevance to Salvation. I guess now it's not too much of a concern.
Time will tell if we see another Terminator television show in the future. This production was certainly ambitious but just seemed to have a lot going against it. It's just a little odd that the news of this officially comes out the week the movie opens.
Are you surprised the show is finished? Are you bummed out? Does it make any difference to you?
Though I do believe Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles was a Great Show... I dont think its history as a whole will hold up against the Film History of what has happened in the Terminator series...
" Never watched it....... "
It looks like we can blame Hawk and Gambler for the show getting canceled. Thanks guys.
I was getting curious about what the heck Cameron's deal was. We saw some glimpses from the future (her past). But as I've said, I still have to watch the last few episodes. And despite the show getting canceled and maybe not mattering anymore, I'll still watch them.
" Honestly when Brian Austin Green joined the cast the show got a lot better "
Gigantically, epically bummed. While it did turn into a "Terminator of the Week" styled show in the middle of the current season, but it picked up it's pace during the last few episodes, and I'm so glad we got so many answers, but so sad that a few questions were left not fully answered. Seriously G-Man, you need to watch the episodes now! Then again it's probably easier for me to get into the shows since I've never seen the films, and I first began watching it because Summer Glau was starring in the show.
On a side note, I suppose the show had run it's course, and recently I've been campaigning heavily for "Dollhouse" to be renewed, and it now has been officially, so rejoice!
I think the problem with the show was they didnt always put in some action and the special effects werent that strong. I actually funny enough watched the season finale today and I really liked it right towards the end the writing was great the set up of characters. They did kill Brian Austin Green but how they did it was great it was subtle but made sense and I dont want to spoil it for anyone who hasnt finished watching season 2 but the ending is a great surprise. I am actually bummed that the show is over I was kind a hoping it would tie in to the movie esepcially since with the direction the show was going for.
I was rather bored when I was seeing the show.
The Terminator girl (I didn't remember his name.) was funny but the rest of show was rather boring, if not pathetic. The brother of Kyle Reese ? Oh man ! Mercy me !
" Honestly when Brian Austin Green joined the cast the show got a lot better "
Watched one episode, couldn't get into it. sadly. Even with the inclusion of Shirley Manson (lead singer for the band Garbage--sure you know)--who is HAwT, it was just *meh*. Same opinion I have with Fringe. Certainly it has a fan base, but the movie looks good, so I don't think anyone will miss out on anything.
Fox has brain damage. It was a slightly above average show, but with the movie coming out this week it shows how idiotic their executives are. Wait two weeks and see how the film does, if it's a huge hit, then bring back the show and ride the wave. If the movie flounders then cancel the show. It doesn't seem like rocket science.
Though the way the show ended, I'm not too sure of how or where season 3 would have gone.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! this sucks I love the show and Cameron was amazing She is so HOT! She played the part perfectly. This just sucks they 1st fox moves the show to Fridays which was so stupid??? Who stays home on Fridays to watch Tv?, To make things worse they don't look at dvr or tivo recordings as viewers which is stupid as well. I am telling you I know 25 people that record it I know that the fans are there this just suck.....this is the worst thing 1st invasion a few years back now this.....and Fox picked up this stupid show glee WTF????? I think I will just stop watching new shows????? I hate it when this happens!
Im not surprised, but I do feel a bit bummed out, because it is waste of a great cast of actors. Season 3 would have shown Summer Glau finally acting like real girl instead of a robot pretending to be a girl, that would have been interesting to see.
I wonder what gigs many of the actors will be taking on next?
It's not the most popular thing to say, but honestly, I've always regarded the Terminator series like I have the Highlander series. While I love both of the movies "Terminator" and "Highlander", I'd have been happier if they never went beyond their first films.
"Why do all the good show's get canceled?
"
I only saw a few episodes, but it seems to me they were F'ing w/ continuity pretty bad. I did however, enjoy Summer Glau as the sexy teenage terminator tho. I feel the worst for her, poor girl's shows are always getting canceled.
On a side note, damn that John Conner. What kid wouldn't want a hot android as their bodyguard. I'm sure she's way more fun then Arnold, LOL.
" Dollhouse is next "
You can say Im bummed now, I really liked that show... And when people complain about it not being too lined up with the movies shut up! Its non-canon. But Ill miss that show and I will forever be frustrated with the cliffhanger of John bieng in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Kinda bummed I liked the show. Doesn't the movie come out tonight gotta watch it.
"
" Not really. The producers stated before its a different timeline or alternate universe. "so that means I was right... cause if the producers said its from a different timeline or alternate universe... then its not canon to the Movie Timeline
" Yea. But, it was a cool timeline :) "Yeah I Liked It... but unfortunately its a Cancelled Show now
It was cool when I watched it. But when I went on holdiay one time, I forgot to record the episodes I didn't see so I stopped watching because I couldn't get jist of the story. It was annoying how the storyline changed to completely random topics all the time. Other than that it was good.
