Witch?
Joe Chill
Character » Joe Chill appears in 442 issues.
Joe Chill was a small-time criminal who on one fateful night encountered Thomas and Martha Wayne as well as their son Bruce. Chill robbed the Waynes and then shot Thomas and Martha, leaving Bruce orphaned, inciting his journey into becoming the vigilante Batman.
Would you give him superpowers?
Joe Chill with superpowers would ruin Batman. Why does he even NEED them? To shoot his parents with energy and reduce them to ash so as to never be heard from again?
If he had superpowers, he would be terrorizing Gotham, he wouldn't be reduced to a simple mugging. That's ridiculous.
yeah man give him ICE Powers make him the next Mr. Freeze. Mr. Chill!!!
uh no I don't think he should even exist outside the origin.

I'm not sure if it was an other world but Batman tricked him into killing himself, at least that is what the wiki said and they had a picture soooo

I just went through my trade with that story, Batman gives him the gun and Joe states "I can't live like this... How am I supposed to live like this?" while holding the gun and crying. It's never shown if he shoots himself or not though.

I haven't read the book so I could easily be wrong, but I think I remember a picture where Batman stood on the roof smiling as the sound effects of a gun going is shown, which was supposed to imply that Joe killed himself. As I said before I haven't read the book and this could be from somewhere else

Yeah. I just looked at that one too, it's in The Black Glove. Since it's Morrison and Batman was near-death, I'm still unsure whether it happened or not.
I sort of have a hard time believing Batman would drive someone to kill himself, but then again, it is Joe Chill.
@Gambit1024: I'd be smiling too if the guy who killed my parents shot himself because of me. After all he is still human, even if it's The Goddamn Batman.
@hectorsquall: I could see why that'd be a good thing, but... Idk. The idea of Batman smiling after anyone commits suicide is weird to me.
