It's a time trapping adventure starring the JLA! Full of heroes, villains, and awesomeness!

The Justice League of America are on an adventure to stop the Legion of Doom from changing the past and ultimately making the JLA cease to exist!

First off all, you must be thinking "JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time, I haven't heard any news about this?" Well if you thought that, then you are absolutely correct, but if you've been following this for a while; then you are in the 1% that's actually been following this. I mean I only heard about this direct to DVD two weeks before it's release, then totally forgot it came out on January 21, 2014. This was a stealthy release and is a Target only item. So if you have a Target in your area, which more than likely a great percent of you do, then just pop on over and drop $15 for this DVD. Whether you like this movie or not, it's not a big investment lost. So try it out! And if you don't have a Target in your area, just visit Target.com.

    What's the story about?

Glad you asked. The story consists of popular Justice League of America members (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg) vs. The Legion of Doom (Luthor, Captain Cold, Cheetah, Bizarro, Toy man, Black Manta, and Gorilla Grodd). The Justice League is trying to stop the Legion of Doom from changing the past and making the League cease to exist! Also in this adventure, it has 31st century Legion of Superheroes Karate Kid and Dawnstar assisting the JL League to stop the Legion of Doom.

    Why is this rated 5-stars?

    Getting Super Friends Nostalgia yet?
    Getting Super Friends Nostalgia yet?

I will answer that in two-parts. The first-part being the story. The story is super family friendly, as this is much different from the animated movies that DC Animated Universe produces as they are into darker stories that aren't family friendly. This being a family friendly movie, the story is extremely predictable. Once the element of "time travel" is introduced in this movie, you automatically begin to tell how the story is going to play out. And what do you know, it happens exactly as you predicted it to be. However, though it is predictable, it's enjoyable. JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time has a story that's been used (and done better) countless times before it, but it's through the acting that really brings this movie to 5 stars.

The actors with familiar voices in this movie is near endless. With actors like Diedrich Bader as Batman (whom was Batman from Batman Brave and The Bold), Grey DeLisle as Wonder Woman (whom was Black Canary from Batman Brave and The Bold), and Kevin Michael Richardson as Black Manta (whom is known for his role as Shredder in the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series and was previously Black Manta in Batman Brave and The Bold) is just three examples of voice actors you have probably heard of. The actors sounded like they had fun acting out their roles in this movie. There is a lot of humor that might make you laugh out loud and think that it's pretty clever. All that goes to the actors for really being enthusiastic about their work in this movie.

    Overall

You should check out this movie. Like I said it's at Target for only $15 and really that's not asking much for such a secret release. The movie won't please everyone, but for those that are looking for something to hold them over until the next DC Animated Universe movie (which will be Son of Batman with a May release), this is the perfect movie. It's got humor, action, great acting, and a pretty decent story. So the real question is, are you hero enough to check it out? Overall 5 out of 5.

I would love to see a continuation of this as either a continuous Direct-to-video movie series, or even a new updated JLA TV series. I think I would prefer the D2V format though. The whole story feels so original, not being based on any previous comic, it was a fresh take on the DC universe. It must be continued with its cliffhanger ending!...
