From The Longbox: JLA #39
The book opens with a set up of the action that is about to unfold, and then it casuay begins to go hog wild with action. Actually this is pretty much a balls to the wall action book. In this case, Batmans cleverness this issue turns out to be less then clever. However the stories surrounding the other members of the JLA more than make up for it.
Particularly Superman batteling the General, and the help he recieves from Orion. The fight looks brutal, and intense.
It makes for an exciting book. The one good thing was that it never fails to remind you that all of this is just a prelude to a bigger story.
Over all a decent chapter to the whole story.
