In this issue the Ultra Marine Corps attacks the JLA in the middle of the city, I call it the city, because it is never named throughout the story, and it does not matter who the people are. The fact that the JLA is trying to get them out of the way while still trying to defend themselves does, and is the one thing that makes the Corps question their orders to kill the League. However, when they do, they come to realize the orders were handed down from the President, and they decide they are soldiers, and can not go against the will of the President. In the mean time, General Eiling is following his own agenda, and Batman is on the case to find out what that agenda is.
