I don't like Jim Lee, or the people that try to imitate him. His style is the cliche of superhero comics.
He's good at what he does, but that doesn't mean I like it.
"Cool. I hate Feral, Cable, and Shatterstar, but everyone has characters they don't like and like. Interesting to see his take on the characters again that helped launch his career and how his style has (slightly) changed. HIs Beast looks a lot different from back in the day, almost like he didn't draw it. IDK. "
Don't call me Decept-O any longer, just call me Dumb-O for not realizing it's actually from back in the day. Good God, and here I thought I knew comic book art.
Everyone makes mistakes, but I am certain this will get pointed out over and over here. Son-of-a-bitch am I embarassed.
" I hate it, everyone looks photoshopped in there. "
I will always, Forever like Jim Lee's work... its original... but I have to go with what xerox-kitty said...
Are they running out of ideas? Or (My thought) Are they just bein lazy about it?
Mean lets face it, its called "X-Men Forever" an yet some of the characters on there arent here (now)forever...
Just thinkin that this would of been a great oppurtunity for some other artist to shine...
Overall its just a poster...

"@pixelized said:That's the recolouring. The problem is, digital colouring doesn't suit old 90's style pencils. I think that the House of Ideas has run out of ideas if they're trying to flog old posters to us. "" I hate it, everyone looks photoshopped in there. "
this isn't new....it was done way back in X-men 201...it's just been recolored "
22 comments and I'm the first person to point out that Lockheed has been repainted Red???
His Polaris is the better than many artists... why does she always look so frumpy these days? I have always hated Jim Lee's Psylocke though.

"the reason why it's connected to X-men forever is because it was originally published Claremont's X-men #1...and has been brought back because X-men forever is a continuation of the first 3 issues of X-men where Claremont left the title@X711 said:You have to remember a couple of things. First off, the poster was originally drawn about 15 years ago, when X-Men was first launched with the "Blue" team, while Uncanny featured stories of the "Gold" team, X-Factor had only just become the Government sponsored team, and the New Mutants was transformed into X-Force. The art on the poster and the characters in it are very much a sign of the time when it was first drawn. That's also a reason why the new photoshopped colouring doesn't look right. But that seems to be all the rage at the moment, like the re-coloured New Mutants 1 cover which was used for the recent New Mutants Marvel Spotlight."Mean lets face it, its called "X-Men Forever" an yet some of the characters on there arent here (now)forever...Just thinkin that this would of been a great oppurtunity for some other artist to shine... Overall its just a poster... "As for the 'Forever' title. I think it's a bad connection to link the poster to the new series, but that's what Marvel has chosen to do. So you are right that the characters aren't 'Forever'... but it's the X-Men equivalent of Avengers Forever, which was hugely successful at the time. However, I'm not sure why they're choosing to drag Claremont's untold X-Men stories on the coat-tails of a series that was successful ten years ago. I suspect that Claremon has a contract that allows him to have his work published every now & then. Why else would Marvel continue to give him work?"
" How big is it? I like Jim Lee, but he's not one of my favorites. If this is like a door sized poster though, I would be all about it. "
"Jm does great hair"

"Pretty good but I think Wolverine should be at the bottom where Beast is..."
