Jeunesse Joyeuse, or to translate into English, Happy Youth, was started in 1926 and ran until 1998.  
 
A French publisher of comic albums, a sort of early version of graphic novels, often published only once a year, they were run from 48 to 96 black & white pages and tell a whole story.

They published albums aimed at a variety of ages and both boys and girls.
