    Jerry Feldon

Character » Jerry Feldon appears in 11 issues.

Jerry Feldon came upon his H-Dial while working as a soda jerk at an ice cream parlor. An old woman, an H-Dialer from the 40s, it would seem, had left it on her plate. Jerry's first attempt at super heroics was less than a success.

    Origin

He save a person from getting run over and a drunk driver from a burning car, but ended up breaking every bone in his body. The first attempt scared Jerry off the H-Dial for a while, for fear he'd return to a state where he was injured. Instead, he discovered he got a new hero each time. He just enjoyed being in the super powered body and started skipping work. One night, he burned down Heaton's abandoned car factory.

After a couple days of this, he decided to turn to crime fighting. After a few days of patrolling and finding nothing, he finds a drug dealer. When the dealer laughed in his face, he punched him, breaking his ribs. Jerry rushed him to the hospital and quickly escaped. He was depressed for a while, but cheered up when his crush, Molly, agreed to a date with him. That day, the ice cream parlor he worked at was robbed. Jerry transformed to save the day. The robber was caught, but Molly got shot and the parlor burned down. Jerry ran from the parlor to a phone booth, called a suicide hotline, and explained all of this. After the call, he flew into outer space and turned back to normal, intending to kill himself.

His attempt failed when Superman himself saved Jerry. At the hospital, he saw Molly, still in critical condition. He went to the roof and found the woman who originally had the H-Dial. She intended to kill herself, but Jerry was able to talk her out of it. With the H-Dial lost, Jerry started to live a normal life. He joined the suicide hotline, became friends with Doug (the guy he spoke with), and dated Molly.
