Jericho: Season 3 # 1 - Civil War

Up for review here is Jericho #1 Civil War 
 
Ok, when I first heard about this I was excited. Though I have to admit, at first I was like...Why are they calling it season 3, unless they did season 1 and 2 in comic form. I realize it is a continuation of the TV show, but still, might have been nice to just start from the begining for comic purposes.  
 
Now I did like the show Jericho, but wasn't huge into it. For some reason I always liked the show Jeremiah better. And to me they are basically the same premise. So, I'm not exactly sure where the show left off when it was cancelled. But the comic picks up as it is named, Civil War. The country is split in two. There is the US which includes Texas. And Cheyenne and the Allied States.  
 
There is a meeting going on about what to do next. Jake Green and Robert Hawkins are the main characters. At the end of the meeting Cheyenne attacks them with some fighter jets. And at the end Jake and Hawkins head to New Mexico to try and spring John Smith from jail, in Cheyenne territory.  
 
It's a really cool comic and I hope they continue it for a good while. I am worried a little bit that this is the first issue and apparently they were late in getting it out. Hopefully they will be on schedule in the future. Solid 4 out of 5.
