Finishes Fast
This is basically just an introductory issue for the whole series (which only runs three issues.) The retrospective knowledge of the shortness of the series is a bit evident here as much of the issue deals with introductions and interviews about how awesome Jenna Jameson is for taking on this project, or how the actual writer is going to take the character in so many awesome directions. Additionally seemingly a lot of the alternate covers were created to show off the likeness of Jenna more so than necessarily focusing a lot on the story itself (which even as it says here is just printing the first ten pages of the proper first issue.) What this gives is a lot more style than substance, which for all that the entire creative says otherwise, is probably what people would expect out of this book. It is too bad too, as when they actually get around to telling the story it is a bit deeper than everything else which it alludes to. It is maybe too little and too late by this point to save this issue, but it does promise enough for the first issue. Those that are here for the spectacle will probably enjoy it, those that are here for something deeper might find enough to bite into, others might not.
