Crazy Freddie led Jemm and Luther to his hideout, where he keeps a gang of underage pickpockets and a little psychic girl named Rosie.
Superman sneaked into the Pentagon to gather information on Charles Dade and Claudius Tull.
Synn beat the Koolar Kamah for failing to kill Jemm. However, they intercept a spy broadcast to Tull involving Superman, Dade and Bruiser attempting to locate Jemm. Their robot warriors were dispatched to follow the group.
Superman uncovers the hideout, but a misunderstanding sees him fighting with Jemm. The Son of Saturn performs well, but he is inevitably bested by Superman. Dade reveals that he has stolen an experimental military rifle designed to kill Superman if he ever turned evil. When Superman stops Dade from executing the Saturnian and reminds him that he's a Kryptonian, and anti-alien bigot guns the Man of Steel down. Dade had inadvertently mortally injured Rosie as well, who had a vision that the Saturnian robots that killed Dade's fiance were coming. Dade was murdered by the robots, who then kidnapped Jemm, Luther, and Bruiser for delivery to Commander Synn.
Hours later, Superman woke up to pick up the pieces, two bodies left lying in the wake of his mistakes.
