I've read a few comics with Jean on it, namely Spider-man and X-Men and some X-Men First Class.
Other than that I've known her for the cartoons I saw as a kid and stuff like that.

I'm curious about her, you guys that know her better, in the comics, how was did she lived? how was she really like? is she really dead, dead? is she missed?
What were her personality traits? How was her relationship with the Phoenix? Does she uses phoenix or does Phoenix uses her? How powerful is Jean without the Phoenix?

By the way, any favorite plots?

She's loved because she's such a complex character
She has a daughter who is preety much like her: Marvel Girl
She has a clone: Madelyn Pryor
She has the Phoenix power
She was romantically linked to Cyclops and was married to him
She is played by Famke Jensen in the X-Movies
She is potrayed BADLY in the movies
Marvel seems to hate her because she get's killed so much
Marvel seems to love her because she comes back so much
There's speculation she's Hope the Messiah Baby
There are story plots and points where it's actually Phoenix who controls Jean and vise versa
She was also romantically involved with Angel in one comic or two
Jean has started in all TV shows for X-men except Pryde of the X-Men
She's one of the first X-men and the first student of Xavier.....

She was Storm's best friend, the first female X-Man, and she is the true host of Phoenix.

I keep saying this....so many people keep saying that she dies all the time and she has come back so many times...but seriously she's died twice and came back once...that's not alot, in fact there are so many more characters who are worse then her

plus lets not forget that the first time she died she wasn't even really dead she was trapped in a cocoon created by the Pheonix force

She did like Wolverine but still remained loyal to Cyclops.
She can be really caring to her friends, to the point to give up her life for them without thinking twice.
She can easily forgive those who did her wrong.
She can genuinely love and care for someone even when she doesn't need to ... like taking care of Cyclop's son for 12 years. Putting Emma Frost together even when Emma was playing with her husband's libido.

She is marked to be the most powerful mutant of all.. but then again there are also others in her range and beyond her range.

Yea she was good friends with Psylocke, but Jean and Storm are best friends.  So much so they consider each other sisters.

Jean Grey was a mutant, but now has transformed into the White Phoenix of the Crown.  Jean Grey is no longer a mutant. She has been retconned, just like the Shadow King.           %Pr

I think it's more about about who they think is better with Scott, but yeah I agree, they are both okay to me "

 This is just my feeling but to me jean was the X-men she made Scott who he is. She was a friend and confident to beast an older sister to some extent with kitty and bobby a "true" sister to storm and she even helped keep Logan civil somewhat.

If Scott is the head of the X-men jean was it's heart.
