I used to like Jean until she became irrelevant.Now I care just as much about her as I do Steve Rogers.When a character has been pretty much replaced,why care about them anymore?"

so then shut up, because as irrelevant as you think Jean is they have been buidling up to her returing in a big way. so much so that they could only sell a book by making people think that a DD villian was Jean resurrected, by the time they revealed it to be Typhoid people were into it because they though the red telekinetic was Jean, as soon as the bomb dropped it wasn't, those sells went down."

"The Scott and Emma thing doesn't bother me as much. Jean may or may not be pissed when she comes back. She gave her sentiment for Scott to move on for the greater good of the X-Men, because if he didn't move on and get past Jean as quick as he did, the X-Men would have disbanded and the alternate reality at the end of Grant Morrison's run "Here Comes Tomorrow" would have happened because at the end of that arc, she reaches back in time and gives her plea to Scott "to live". This doesn't mean she won't be pissed off by the fact that her husband--or ex-husband--who she still harbored strong feelings for at her time of death is or was with someone else, if you ignore Phoenix: Endsong which was primarily Phoenix menacing Scott. We'll seen soon enough, though. I think the solicits for that new series "Reborn" is about bringing back Jean and there's Hope who has a uncanny resemblance to her."

One, because one could assume she's coming back, as stated on her grave marker "She will rise again" as she has so many times before. Two, because it'd be kinda' retarded for her not to be affected in some way that he's with someone else that's not her. It's also not that out of the norm to wait a while after your wife dies to even look at another chick, especially with Scott, a character that's based around control and self-control. Scott's not going to start jumping at whatever he can get, so really, if there wasn't a pre-established relationship with Emma, it's not out of the norm for Scott  to have stayed unattached to anyone."

I don't know if I said this in this thread but I think they should make Jean a Guardian of the Galaxy..put here with all the other powerful beings on the side of good.I haven't been reading X-men so I don't know what she will be doing when she comes back but I would hope that if they make her an X-man again (which I seriously hope they don't because we already have Emma) they should power her down a little.I mean she's an avatar of the Phoenix Force so that would be kind of hard but I bet they could think of something creative to do with her powers.Maybe they could do it like they do Sentry where his powers are only at their best when he's mentally stable.They could make her all crazy and whatnot."

You mean up the power levels of Silver Surfer and the like? It could work but then you might also get the problem that they are too powerful to be used in any circumstace without an all powerful being. She could be transformed into a different kind of Phoenix that only has a small portion of the forcebut then you'r likely to end up with Rachel Grey.I honestly wouldn't know what to do with the character.. That's why i say just let her be dead."
