As the title says as of right now this is only a rumor but apparently in 2010 they are planning to make a sequel to the 2009 remake of Friday The 13th. 

 That isn't surprising, they do not cost a lot so even with the relatively low grosses it was probably a success.  I just hope they do things a little better this time out. Maybe they could go the Scream route and actually have people who live in a world with horror movies so they do not do the same stupid crap we have seen for nearly 30 years.

I take it you didn't like the remake. Personally I came to enjoy it, when I first say it I hated it but now that I've seen a few times I like it.

 I didn't hate it, I just thought it was written with all the same tricks we saw in the eighties.

Anyone know when the sequel to the Friday the 13th 2009 movie comes out?

Rumored to be released on August 18 of this year. But considering its still in early production and there hasn't been much news about it that is subject to change.

I didn't really like the first remake. It was kind of bland. It scores just better than Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 for the worst horror movie remakes ever.

Meh. I didn't think the remake had a lot to offer. The one thing I liked about the series was that each film kept pushing the envelope on the creative (read: ridiculous) ways Jason would be killing people, and I thought all the kills in this last one were pretty mediocre. Tell me they're getting Kane Hodder to reprise the role and I'll start to get interested.
