I prefer it black and think it should stay that way. I understand Morrison trying to give depth to Jason's less than spectacular tenure as Robin II but I would rather Jason be an "evil" Robin instead of that last Red Hood incarnation from B&R

Cool. i was just going to post a scan of a quick race they had, right in the middle of War games.

The entire city of Gotham was a war zone, batts sends Cass and NW to an area, then CASS says "Race you." Nw says "You gotta be kidding."

Then they race and kick some guys in the head.

It should be BLACK

Morrison failed hardcore with Jason.

I think way too many characters in comics have black hair, but once a hair color is established it should not be changed. His hair is and should saty black, but please make no more black haired characters. It is not a common hair color for white people anyway.

Red hair fits too,  he was a redhead pre crisis anyway

Pre crisis Jason Todd and Today's Jason Todd are completely diiferent

I'd confuse him with Jason "Blood" alot if they never change his hair back.

When Jason first appeared, it was red. Then Crisis on Infinite Earths happened, and it was black. Morrison tried to change it back.

I honestly prefer Jason having red hair and saying he dyed it. Because, come on, what are the odds that every young ward Batman takes in all have the same hair color? Doesn't it stretch your suspension of disbelief just a little?

Meh, it was more blonde than red. I might agree with strawberry blonde, but beyond that? No.

Besides, that was the same character in name only. Pre-Crisis Jason was just Dick 2.0.

Well, yeah. Same origin, but replacing Tony Zucco with Killer Croc. His post-Crisis origin is better, no doubt. But we're talking about hair color retcons, not the origin in general.

I think I can help clear everyone's doubts. I have the comic where Jason first appears as Robin before the first reboot and i also have the comic with his origin story after his first reboot. I also have the comic where Jason says bruce forced him to dye his hair black. Ok, heres the explanation.

In Jason's original story, he was a read-head (even though in the comic his hair is clearly yellow, they call him a read-head) that was a member of a circus. Then his parents got killed by Killer Croc (this was Croc's first appearance), and Bruce adopted him. While Batman is in Guatemala fighting the Joker and his gang (not random at all), Jason finds the Robin suit and dyes his hair black. He travels to Guatemala and helps Batman save the day. They are now the new Dynamic Duo.

Then comes DC's first reboot, Crisis on Infinite Earths. Jason's origin story is completely changed. Now, Jason is an orphan living on the streets, and he was born with black hair. Batman catches him stealing the wheels of the batmobile, but decides to take him in (after an incident in the area), and makes him the new Robin. People didn't like this version of Jason, and there was a vote to decide whether or not to kill him off, and the party in favor of his death won (Years later, O'Neil amdmitted that hundreds of votes in the "Jason Dies" line came from a single person, meaning that if he hadn't cheated Jason would not have been killed off).

Eventually, Jason Todd was revived, and as you all know he became the Red Hood. In the Batman Reborn ark, where Dick and Damian are the dynamic duo after Bruce is presumed dead, the incident behind this forum occurs. Jason appears, with his hair orange with an area that is white (Lazarus Pit) and many areas that are black. He says it is because Bruce forced him to dye his hair black. This goes against all previously establised continuity.

In DC's second reboot, the Flashpoint/New 52 thing, Jason's hair is black, and he was born with black hair. No ruined orange hair. No white strip.

And that is all there is to Jason's magic hair.

I thought the white stripe was cool.

Nah his hair is clearly black from now on; what bothers me, is his eye colour: gray or blue?
