The other day I was reading Battle For The Cowl again and in issue #3, when Dick is trying to stop Jason- after Jason claimed he killed Tim Drake- Dick showed Jason Bruce's "last will and testament hologram". Jason starts going crazy. In Dick's though thingy he starts asking himself stuff like "whatever traumatized Jason all those years ago..." so it's implied that before JAson became Robin he had something really traumatizing happen to him.
well, my question is, what's the deal with JAson Todd? what happened to him all those years ago (before his death) that was so traumatizing that made him flip in battle for the cowl?
**sorry couldn't find a scan of this**
Jason Todd
Character » Jason Todd appears in 1754 issues.
Jason Todd was the second Robin, until he was brutally murdered by the Joker. After he was resurrected, Jason learned Batman didn't avenge his death. Anguished and seeking vengeance, he initially turned against his mentor and father figure and took on the Clown Prince's former identity: the Red Hood. He eventually returned to the Bat-Family and assembled a team of anti-heroes known as the Outlaws.
Jason Todd..?
People don't know how to write him he's complex but it's easier to write him as an psycotic killer but to me bftc was one of the worst charaterization of Jason Todd i've ever seen..And as for the truma thing their just looking for an excuse to make him act like a complete villian

Tony Daniels ain't a good writer...

Of course SOMETHING there will traumatize him.
no it doesnt...it doesnt point to the fact that something bad happened all those years ago. jason died as robin several years ago so thats what they are talking about. almost a decade ago. tim started fighting crame after jason and was only like 12, now he is almost 18 so jasons death must have been awhile ago
