I really enjoyed this, and especially since Scott Lobdell is doing both Jasons and (pretty much) Tims series it could hopefully lead to more interaction between the two. It makes sense though, to give Jason a more tangible ongoing connection to the bat family, and the brotherly thing I love too. Ahh Red Hood and the Outlaws is so good!

What did you guys think about it?

I enjoyed it, but what bugged me was in depth speaking "You came back from the dead, tried killing Batman, beat me to a pulp with a staff and left me for dead with a batarang in my stomach not to mention kill a lot of people. I understand, yeah we're cool."

maybe in the new continuity it wasn`t that bad. From what i could gather in DCnU Batman and Green Latern series they keep MOST of the history but a good deal of it has been altered to some extent. so the relation betwen Jason and tim might not be as bad. or i could be wrong. time will tell:)

@royale_with_cheese: In an earlier issue Jason is ambushed in a hideout and he shoots the ambusher (Susie Su) who is a crime boss from his past, she is sent to a Gotham hospital that specializes in gun wounds. She then takes the children's ward hostage threatening to kill every kid there, Jason heads back to Gotham and long story short puts a bullet in her head. While there he over hears Alfred's call for help that every bat family member gets. Tim figured out that Jason intercepted the message and asked him for help, causing Jason to backflash to 2 months ago when him and Tim had a friendly breakfast together, its revealed that Jason is the one who found the information on Wonder Girl and that Tim found the information on the smugglers Jason took out when he met Starfire.

@daredevil21134: I wouldn't mind seeing them team up a bit more in the future. I don't want him to become a lackey of Bruce like the rest of them. But it would be cool to see Jason and Tim team up once in awhile. It would be a great story especially if the plot is a great one. I like this night of the owls story and I am excited to see Jason's role in it.

Wasn't suggesting that he's plotting to kill Bruce or even wants to kill him.

The best example I can think of in which Lobdell gave the middle finger to Bruce was in issue #6 when Jason says in an internal monologue that Bruce only pretended to love him like a son. Other than that, the swipes at Bruce are mostly subtle and not explicit.

And for the record, I am a JT fan.

Well there was that one flash back where Dick had to stop Jason from killing Bruce but other than that there has been no animosity expressed towards Batman, or maybe I've just haven't caught it

This was expected IMO,two different ideologies clashing with each other. That was one of my major problems with Jason Todd,I always felt that the writers constantly felt the need to either make him look badass at the expense of others(basically he existed to troll the Batfam) or to make him look like a naive lunatic throwing a temper tantrum.

I've gotten used to it by now.

Morrison wrote the best Jason but unfortunately the Morrison version will be remembered for his red hair and goofy suit.

@entropy_aegis: Part of the pre-DCnU Jason's appeal to me was that even though he was somewhat unstable, he did have some heroic qualities, which is why I wasn't terribly fond of what Morrison and Tony Daniel were doing with him because they wanted to make him irredeemable.

In their own right Winick, Morrison, and Lobdell's versions of Jason have all been good. I like Winicks version because it re introduced the character. Morrison gave him that edge of I am going to strive to be better than you attitude. And for the most part succeeded in making Jason better by having the people of Gotham cheer for him. And now the current Jason, is by far, my favorite. He's put the past behind him. Shy of a few flashbacks now and then. Which are mostly to give the reader an insight to his past just in case there are any new readers that might not know. I like the way he's grown up a bit and he isn't so full of anger. Its a nice touch to the character.

I really loved this scene, I just wish it had lasted for a few more pages.
