watching young justice series two and they replaced dick with tim drake kind of annoyed me, they could have had Jason for a series at least, what do you think, plus with all the jazz about dc saying that tim was never a robin makes no sence
Jason Todd
Character » Jason Todd appears in 1754 issues.
Jason Todd was the second Robin, until he was brutally murdered by the Joker. After he was resurrected, Jason learned Batman didn't avenge his death. Anguished and seeking vengeance, he initially turned against his mentor and father figure and took on the Clown Prince's former identity: the Red Hood. He eventually returned to the Bat-Family and assembled a team of anti-heroes known as the Outlaws.
Angry that jason is always skipped in most animated series
They probably don't wanna go into the whole death of a family story since its a kids show. Its easier and less controversial to just skip him

Has Jason ever been in an animated series? I can't think of any...
Nope.
I still think there's room for Jason to show up in Young Justice though. Who knows the entirety of what happened during the timeskip? And I've always thought that Dick's "Just don't die" line to Tim felt like a nod to Jason.
He has absolutely no reason to be in Young Justice. With the exception of a few character development episodes, all of what the Team does are big picture issues. It's not like Jason is going to join the light, and he's never had a big master conspiracy thing going on. The only time we MIGHT see him is if they did a character development episode for Drake where he was featured (which is doubtful in itself as the two don't much conflict).
Not to mention, the "Drake was never Robin" thing has zero to do with Young Justice. Young Justice takes place on Earth-16, completely outside of the DCNu continuity. And, even if it did, they've made it clear that Drake was still Batman's partner, and just not Robin in name only.
Finally, while it would have been interesting to see Jason show up in TAS, in my mind it was rectified. After all, Batman: Under the Red Hood is one of the best animated movies that DC ever put out.
He's better as Red Hood than Robin so I imagine that if he ever does show up anywhere they'll just skip the Robin faze by having his time in the role be off screen
It'd be nice to see Jason in Young Justice. I can imagine him showing up and causing havoc for the Bat-Family leading to an epic fight between Dick and Jason.
They could make a episode based off I think its Teen Titans #29 which was a good issue. Where Jason comes and attacks Tim while everyone is away. That would be interesting and maybe after its all done and over with show Batman talking to Tim one on one telling him he knows who the Red Hood is and the only time I think Jason was actually even mentioned in a animated series was Batman Brave and the Bold when Batmite says something like or the storyline the Death in the Family where Jason Todd dies

that's what i thought, i think they are planning to introduce but will probably have him as red hood but no reveal till next season

Exactly, his whole thing as Robin is pointless....he died because the fans hated him in the first place, and the reason for his resurrection was a guy breaking reality........so yeah, I could see why they would skip him....he sucks basically. Although Red Hood is cool, so they should just skip to him

Yeah, Bat-Mite was doing his thing and showed Batman a statue of him holding Jason's dead body (Cover image for Death in the Family).
@Batmarcus See I would love to see Jason in a dark game like Arkham City.
Think this is at least a reference to him. Screen of the upcoming Young Justice, seems to be a hall of the dead kind of thing, and features a robin image:

the robin hollogram had to be jason right
yea, since tim is the current robin on the show and a robin's death was referenced by Dick when he tells Tim don't die.
Yeah that's either Jason or some other male Robin. I just watched the episode and Tim's standing in front of the statue so there wasn't any time skip where he passed away. The hair the kid had is also exactly like Jason's style, at least the style he used as Robin pre-Flashpoint.

Who's that to the right of Jason?
Well, at least unlike the other series, this one acknowledges his existence.

i agree with that. they also wouldnt be able to develop robin as a favorite character for many kids if he keeps changing every season

Jason wouldn't work well, he is a lone wolf.
Which is probably what got him killed.

Nah,being reckless and not listening got him killed
Red Hood and Red Arrow should team up and go pull Donna Troy out of limbo to make the Anti-Young Justice team.
id like to see jason but in a kids show it probably couldnt work seeing as he uses guns. it would be a great storyline to bring him in as a villain or anti hero in YJ though

I just find it humorous that nobody ever cared about Jason until he poped back up as Red Hood, until then everybody wanted him dead and were happy that way. Now its a travesty he doesn't appear on a cartoon show.
He's came a long way
Yeah, think we should either skip him showing up or at least wait till later when the Arsenal drama dies down. He might show up in Beware The Batman as Red Hood.
Well, not everyone gets what they want. From the start of the show i always wanted super girl to join YJ, instead they added wonder girl.........so now i just live with it and enjoy the show.
I really wish he was in the 90's New Adventures of Batman series. True ,they would have to have a lot of episodes, (Including at LEAST one 2 part episode) but I really think it would be worth it. Batman needed a vigilante adversary not afraid to kill.
I beg to differ that Young Justice is a kids show, I dont think it is, because all young kids want to watch is the action parts not the storyline talking between characters, I think the series is meant for teens and up. And yeah I am annoyed as well that Jason was skipped as Robin again, apparently they will never show Jason as Robin unless its some BS flashback, parallel universe, or dream.
He had a cameo in Young Justice and Teen Titans, and a small actual role in New Teen a Titans shorts. His main feature was his animated movie, which was excellent. However, I would like for him to have more appearances.
@thespideyguy: No Jason was not Red X in the Teen Titans, they only teased the audience that it might be Jason Todd, but Jason is far to brutal to be Red X, Red X is a thief, wheras Jason as the Red Hood kills criminals. Until its offically confirmed to be Jason, no one can say it is, unless they are deluded.
It is sad that that Jason gets skipped over more than not. But we do have the great "Under the Red Hood" that is better than anything else that ever featured a Robin. In fact UTRH may be the best Robin centered animated story every made.
@redhoodnet: Jason is also referenced in The Dark Knight Returns Part 1, where they had the proper Robin costume for Jason, unlike Jason's appearence in UTRH where he had the wrong costume (except when he was a kid).

I'm not very surprised. Jason is a pretty dark character for a saturday morning kids show. In Batman TAS Tim's character was more of a Jason/Tim amalgam
they used Jason's origin story for Tim so he was kinda like a mix of that.
