Jason Aaron, a relative newcomer to the adult comic world, already has two amazing titles under his belt under the Vertigo umbrella. The mini-series "The Other Side" provided an unprecented view of the Vietnam War with a juxtasposed point of view between 2 young recruits - one American and one North Vietnamese. This 5-issue series was also released as a trade paperback.
"Scalped" is a ongoing series, delving into the heretofore unexplored world of American Indian organized crime. Much like "The Other Side," it gives voice to normally silent points of view and addresses topics considered taboo by most (American Indian alcoholism, gangs, racketeering, corruption of government officials, etc.).
In 2008, Jason worked on a 4 part story arc called 'Get Mystique' in the Wolverine line. This was a post Messiah Complex event that had him spanning the globe for Mystique. It began in February and ran through May.
Expect big things from Jason Aaron in the future.
