William Shatner seems like a great guy. But he also seems like a guy that likes himself. There's nothing wrong with that. With Chris Pine taking over the role of Captain Kirk, deep down, you'd think that Shatner might be a little put off. No one wants to think of themselves as being replaced. After Kirk was killed off, I'm pretty sure it was Shatner that brought him back in a novel. There also hasn't been any reports that Shatner met with Pine to offer any advice (or maybe I just missed that).
