This is completely spit balling right now, but what if the Arkhamverse and New 52 universe merged, I wonder what would happen if James Jr. became the next Joker? I know the "Joker" isn't really a mantle, but what if this happened?

I was going to say the Arkham games, but that makes little sense.

@pinkdaizygirl: What does Gordon's son have to do with the Arkham games? Gordon himself barely plays a role.

@Deranged Midget: I was implying the fact that since James Jr and the Joker have somewhat of a past, and since the Joker has died, what if James became the new Joker?

@pinkdaizygirl: If you are directly implying the continuation of a Joker character in the Arkham video-game series, it's already been established that Harley is pregnant with Joker's child. It only makes sense that if Joker is really dead, his son should precede him.

@Deranged Midget: True. However, a baby wouldn't be able to do much damage. Harley could do quite a bit, but seeing how easily she can be over powered by Batman, it won't do much good.

@Deranged Midget: and I wasn't implying the video games. I was implying the general fact that if the Joker is dead, I wondered what would happen if James took his place.

The third game will probably be Batman Beyond-related.

At least, I'm betting it will.

The whole thing with this is basically ideas about what would happen IF James Gordon Jr. did become the Joker in some odd alternate universe. How would it affect his family? How would Barbara react? How would his father react?

This will most likely be answered through the DLC coming out in a few weeks.

Honestly, I don't think it really matters considering the heavy hinting that Rocksteady gave of Hush headlining a the possible lead villain in the next outing.

Doubtful, they hinted at Hush possibly headlining as one of the lead villains in the side missions.

Hush really isn't that popular of a character in the DC comics, though...I had never heard of him before I played the game...of course this is probably because I have only really been a comicbook fan for about a year...

He was the villain in the popular Batman: Hush story-line that came out in 2002 written by Jeph Loeb and pencilled by Jim Lee.

@pinkdaizygirl: I'd easily recommend it being one of my favourite Batman stories.
