James Bond
Character » James Bond appears in 888 issues.
Commander James Bond, Agent 007, is a spy who works for the MI6 secret service branch of the British Government. Inevitably, James Bond has found his way into all types of media adaptations including into newspaper strips and comics books.
Matt Smith Wants to be a Bond Villain
Smith, who plays a very quirky and bizarre version of the Doctor, thinks his looks and acting style could really play off on the big screen. However, he doesn't think he's handsome enough to take on the role of Bond himself, but he thinks he'd make a good, but younger, Bond villain. He said he's never gotten away with playing an attractive leading man, but he's good at playing more odd characters.
Most of us have only seen Matt Smith as the Doctor, who is essentially a good guy, when it boils down to it. Could Matt Smith pull off playing a bad guy? If he could, he'd certainly be a charismatic villain and very memorable.
There is no set deals or anything real here. It's just another case of a celebrity saying they want to play a character, so chances of us seeing Matt Smith as a Bond villain is slim-to-nil, but more likely nil. What do you guys think? Would Matt Smith make a good Bond villain?
it's to bad that MGM has put the Bond movies on indefinite hold and they're shopping around to sell the franchise to another studio
Well since MGM are in debt, I can't see it happening for a long time. The Bond franchise as been suspended indefinitely.
I think if they do what Fraction did with Ezekiel Stane in Iron Man, making him a younger, smarter version of the hero could make things quite interesting. If they have Smith play some wonder child rogue agent or something it could work quite well. The Bond villains of the last couple of decades have hardly been that memorable.
Shave his head and make him the new Blofelt. Young genius thinks he can outsmart all the worlds best agencies by creating his own anti agency. S.P.E.C.T.R.E.!! The current no name or Quantum organization run by grizzled old guys just doesnt provide enough oomph for a Bond film. Open the new movie with him sitting with the old guys and then he kills them all and pronounces Quantum dead and the rise of SPECTRE.
one thing the new bond films were lacking was a great villian. i say let him try it out cuz quantum of solace was really bad but casino royale was ok and its cuz there was a decent villian
i was soo excited when i heard they might be gonna get rachel weisz to be the bond villain. but then they postponed the movie.
SHE SHOULD BE THE NEXT BOND VILLAIN
I don't know much about this guy at all, but all I can say is that the next Bond movie needs to be made ASAP.
it'd be cool for bond to go after a maniacal serial killer instead of his standard corrupt politician or businessman.
Hahaha that sentence sounds like a hell of an acid trip." Forget Matt Smith. I want to see Karen Gillan (Amy Pond) play Strawberry Fields younger sister. "
I really like Matt Smith, I have never warmed up to a Dr so fast it took just an episode to start liking him. so I hope he gets what he wants.
