Favourite Bond and Bond movie?

#1 Posted by Supreme Marvel (11264 posts) - - Show Bio

My favourite Bond is Roger Moore, but Daniel Craig from is first movie, I think all he has to do he keep the way he plays Bond and he will take over for me.

My favourite Bond film is Casino Royal the new one. Daniel Craig, he made me think of it as a realistic movie other than a fantasy.

I prefer it to be as realistic as possible, that's way I love Batman Begins.

Who is your favourite Bond? And what is your favourite film?

My favourite Bond is Sean Connery.....followed by Pierce Brosnan (who had the misfortune to play Bond is what could be argued to be his worst movie). My favourite Bond movie is Goldfinger, followed by The World Is Not Enough (I would probably say Goldeneye but I haven't seen that freaking movie in about nine years), followed shortly by Casino Royale.

Am not sure if they released it overseas but in England they released a dvd collection of every movie not including Casino Royal. You might want to get that unless you already have it.

not true...

the full boxset didn't include "Never Say Never", Sean Connery because it was the only one produced by MGM, where as the box set only included "official" Bond movies licensed by EON Productions and United Artists.

(Big Bond fan here)

I have the first volume of the "Ultimate James Bond DVD Collection", and I am going to eventually get the rest, but it doesn't have Casion Royale in any of it's volumes. It has the first 20 Bond movies.

Well, ya got me there. I know that the original Casio Royale, a parody of the orginal Casino Royale, and Never Say Never Again were all unofficial.....hmmm.......was it never actually released? I guess I failed that one.

Daniel Craig was awesome in the New one, I hope his next Few are as good,

Sean Connery is my Favorite, my favorite film with him is Dr. No!

But My favorite Bond film right now is "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" with George Lazenby, He plays Bond like he is in the original Ian Fleming Books, Daniel Craig also plays him closely to the books.

I love 60s movie art.

I agree with that. I think Lazenby and Craig play Bond the closest to the books, but my favorite Bond is still Connery.

TOM HANKS!? Watch this its hilarious and well put together. If you like Bond you'll like it! If you like Tom Hanks you'll like it! If you like both you'll Love it! And even if you don't you'll enjoy it!

Watch till the end, its funny, and just when you think it can't get better it does!

I got two more James Bond Ultimate Edition boxsets, and have seen From Russia With Love, Thunderball, Goldeneye, License To Kill, and On Her Majesty Secret Service.

Sean Connery's my favourite. Personally, I don't think Daniel Craig holds the same suave face as the other Bonds.

bond was never meant to be that suave hes a cold blooded killer and daniel craig portraid bond perfectly. craig and connery are the best but connery edges it slightly simply because craig has only appeared in one movie. best film either casino royale dr no goldeneye gold finger or from russia with love. best villian many would disagree but i like alex travalleyen.

Basicly if you replace Moore with Connery your post s co-signed by me. But the best Bond theme by far is this:

Favorite Bond is Roger Moore. Favorite Bond movie is Live and Let Die.

Timothy Dalton is my favorite Bond. Second Place is Daniel Craig and in third is George Lazenby. The rest I prefer to think were never Bonds especially Roger Moore. Favorite Bond film is either OHMSS or Casino Royale.

My rankings of The Bond films

This is the same list I made on Screened. Just thought I'd make it over here too.

1. Casino Royale

If it weren't for this movie Pierce Brosnan still might be Bond. This reinvented a dying franchise that was in need of desperate help after the failure of Die Another Day.

2. On Her Majesty's Secret Service

The most underrated Bond film gets a lot of criticism aimed at Lazenby, most of the time those people who are criticizing him haven't even seen the movie. Lazenby brought such depth to the role, something Connery didn't. Filming the scene after Tracy dies, Lazenby cried the first time though he was told not to cry and so they did a second take which was used in the film.

3. From Russia with Love
4. For Your Eyes Only
5. Quantum of Solace
6. The Living Daylights
7. GoldenEye
8. Dr. No
9. Live and Let Die
10. Tomorrow Never Dies
11. Licence to Kill
12. Thunderball
13. Goldfinger

I'm not crazy about this one, it definitely is a good one but I've never felt it lived up to what people say about it. The villain, auric Goldfinger doesn't get as much development as he does in the novel though he still is one of the better Bond villains.

14. Octopussy

This one isn't bad but the main problem with it is that its boring. I still give credit to the movie for being more serious at times than most of the other Moore bond films.

15. The Spy Who Loved Me
16. The World Is Not Enough

TWINE finally gives more development to Brosnan's bond, this is the one where he firmly establishes his bond though unfortunately after this one his bond went back to being more like Roger Moore's or Sean Connery's.

17. A View to a Kill
18. The Man with the Golden Gun

The Man with The Golden Gun was a pretty good novel by Ian Fleming, it wasn't the best one had written but no the worst. Great villain in Francisco Scaramanga but the rest of the movie sucks.

19. Moonraker

Moonraker was my favorite Bond novel By Ian Fleming but the movie has nothing in common with it. It's practically one silly joke after another with this movie. Also HOVER GONDOLA!

20. Diamonds Are Forever

It had a good car chase scene but even with the return of Connnery it still was a lousy movie based on one of the worst Bond novels. The film also has a ton issues with audio/video being unsynchronized and crap loads of factual errors, and not to mention the hallmark sillyness the series began to show with this film.

21. You Only Live Twice
22. Die Another Day
