I like Daniel Craig as James Bond.  I recall that some people were a little let down with the last Bond film, Quantum Of Solace.  I thought it was pretty good.  Bond didn't rely on his signature gadgets and lots of people felt he was acting more like Jason Bourne.  I felt that showed us that Bond is more than just about the gadgets.  He could hold his own if he had to.  It made for a different type of Bond movie.  Do I want more of that in the next movie?  Not really, but now we know what he's made of.

Over the weekend, Variety announced that Daniel Craig, himself, stated that production on the next Bond film will start next year in 2010.  This wasn't an official announcement.  MGM hasn't commented on it yet.  Daniel Craig was exiting a Broadway theatre and a fan asked him about the next movie and he responded.  The last official word from the studio came last June when it was announced that Peter Morgan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade were writing a script.  No word on a director or title just yet.

Who else besides me is ready for more Daniel Craig as James Bond?

I also thought Quantum of Solace was pretty good, but the problem that I had with that was that Casino Royale was awesome, so it still felt like a step backwards. Now that we're done with Eva Green's character (and Bond's revenge for her) the next Bond has a clean slate to be whatever, so let's hope there's a good script with some interesting villains.

I am.  I like DC as Bond.  I like that the gadgets are gone. Bourne showed us what was missing in Bond films. Less toys more 007.

But i liked Dalton as Bond too. Those films had a very 1980's feel so they did not come across as good as TD could have made them.

And OHMSS is the BEST BOND EVER !!!

Daniel Craigs hot as James Bond.

But I would have preferred Alex O'Loughlin who was in the final running as James Bond.
     Oh well,  :)

Like Daniel Craig as James Bond. I really enjoyed the action and the pacing of the least two movies. But, what's missing from his Bond is the levity and ironic humor that even Sean Connery had. I know that Vesper was a big deal, but Connery was still fierce in Goldfinger, even with a slight sense of whimsy. Craig sometimes comes off as a thugish assassin. Meaner and more cruel than Timothy Dalton. What I got from Bourne is that he was basically a nice guy, and that all of his training was reflexive. Impassive, without a hint of malice. Maybe it was the amnesia. Shame Brosnan only did four. I thought he had one more in him. Might've kept him from singing...

Hopefully, they will pick a less convoluted title. Quantum of what had a pretty unmemorable name and the song was awful.

Can't wait to see more of Daniel Craigs new type of Bond. Maybe they can get Sean Connery to play the villain.

This will be great, I really like Craig's Bond. I was a little let down by Quantum of Solace though...wasn't nearly as good as Casiino Royale imo. I think you really have to look at them as almost one big movie though and then it makes a little more sense.

Casino Royale was great Quantum ehh not so much. Though I did love that what's her name, Strawberry Fields?

Next one I would like to see Q & Moneypenny and start showing your traditional Bond villains and henchmen.

Anyone notice that Casino Royale/Quantum of Solace had a similar concept with Batman Begins/The Dark Knight? Both Batman and James Bond fell in love with someone and those women died. Then from then on they could never commit to a woman.

Can we please have an actor for Bond (NOT Will Smith) who actually doesn't mind carrying or shooting a gun, and who doesn't look like a car driving at you with the doors wide open when he runs at the camera?

QoS was crap. They better pick a director who actually has experience with the goddamn genre this time. I don't think I'm asking for much here.

While the movies Daniel Craig starred in are great movies. It never felt like a Bond movie to me.
I'm one of those old school James Bond movie fans, I like the gadgets, Q and M and the fact that he fights with 20 guys and never once messes his hair up and has no stains on his suit. I just miss that in these movies.

I like Casino Royal but its sequel was horrible. It felt too much like a Bourne movie. Bond movies have always been over the top with gadgets and women.

I didn't think that Quantum of Solace was anywhere near as good as Casino Royale. Too much fighting, not enough of a good storyline.
Hopefully the new film will be good.

That'd be good, but Sean Connery is retired now. Maybe Timothy Dalton could be a villain.

Daniel Craig is a perfect modern Bond. Casino Royale is one of my fav movies, and even tough Quantum was nowhere close, its still a good movie. Hoping the next Bond movie will be better.

I thought QoS was OK, but it was kind of a letdown after Casino Royale which was by far my favorite Bond film and one of my favorite movies of all time.
Personally, I like less gadgets and more down-to-earth villains. It definitely got pretty ridiculous at some points in Bond film history.

Casino Royale was sooooo good! It's on my top 10 favorite movies ever list (yes, I actually do have one). Though I doubt that any James Bond movie after Casino Royale will ever be able to top that, I am still willing to give it a fair shot. Quantum was okay. It wasn't great. I guess it is hard to come off of the heals of the greatest James Bond movie to date. Then again, the sequal did lack in some aspects.

I just hope that Bond 23 will kick ass. I hope that it dives further into the story of Casino Royale. Quantum drifted too far into its own territory and started its own story. I think that the new franchise of Bond movies should move the way that the Bourne series does, with each movie adding onto the previous one. I really enjoyed how the series played out in that manner. I hope that the new Bond series will start to work that way too.

Daniel Craig is nearly perfect; picking up the mantle of "Sean Connery's" suave, daring, rambunctious, take-no-prisoners rendition of "Ian Flemmings's"  007. "CASINO ROYALE" was grittly, dramatic and melodramatic, while "QUANTUM OF SOLACE", was hard-hitting, in-your-face Bond. Only short-coming for both was lack of the patented  "Jerry Goldsmith" "James Bond" musical Score(s). Hopefully, next film, "Barbara Broccoli" will correct this major undersight...

Bond should be Bond, James Bond character from the mind of Ian Fleming, not some made up character that has been pushed out of a cookie mold. Bond if he were real, would bleed if cut, vomit if KO'ed and mourn for the love lost, never to have again. In his profession love is trust and you never trust anyone.
