    Jaime Brocal Remohí (1936-2002) is a Spanish comic book author and illustrator specializing in heroic fantasy who signed Brocal Remohí, Jaime Brocal or even J. Brocal. Active from the late 1950s to the 1990s, this pillar of Selecciones Ilustradas has produced numerous heroic fantasy series for the Spanish, French English and American markets. He co-created Ögan (es) (1963-1972), Kronan (es) (1972-1977), Arcane (1974-1979), Taar (1976-1988, with Claude Moliterni) and directed from 1971 to 1974 several stories in the American magazines Eerie and Creepy. In the 1980s, he also produced numerous biographies.
