It would be nice if there was a bit more to her powers than just the basics.

Seems like Boomerang is overcompensating for something.
 
Doesn't the 'hero in training' theme remind you of what they are doing in Batgirl right now with Stephanie Brown?

honestly im kind of dismayed with Jackpot. theyve been trying to sell me this character 
for sometime, and she's not very interesting, whereas they could be focusing on many
much cooler characters in Spider-Mans gallery, old or new.

Won't they PLEASE get rid of Jackpot already? The character was basically invented just to make us think MJ was a superhero, anyway. Jackpot's been at the top of my "Most Hated" list for a while now.

This seems like an epic fail in the characters conception and story...

Jackpot should have just disappeared altogether. If there's anything I didn't like that came out of Brand New Day it's her. I actually enjoyed the original character, even after it wasn't MJ [even though I thought it was a stupid coincidence for her to keep calling Spider-Man "tiger" and be called "jackpot"], but her story was told--it turned into a whole thing about how untrained heroes suck [apparently] and how drug usage is bad and you'll die, but just let the sleeping dog lie.
 
I personally think there's better new characters to give a mini-series to...like the Zapata Brothers.

kinda liked jackpot a little bit  because of her green custome but she f ing changes it. and its red even I hate red. Well her hair was red anyway  so oh well.

Hey let's face front true believers the "JACKPOT" character was a Stupid Queasda idea to begin with because he wanted Spider-Fans to hate Mary Jane all the more that by the time "Red Haired Stranger" came out & before that where she appeared with the BhaBEE movie actor we're sick of her more. It just goes to show hoe a Editor in Chief of a comic company can "DESTROY A FLAGSHIP CHARACTER IN A BLASTED HEARTBEAT!" because let's face it since "BRAND NEW DAY" Spider-man is Spider garbage NUFFsaid!

 SPIDER-LOVE no matter what will put Spider-Man back on top of his game "FACE IT, TRUE BELIEVER!"

Seriously though, Jackpot bugs me so much, I've ranted on and on about her to people who don't even care about comics. Come to think of it, I'm surprised they're still friends with me...

G-Man, you can be the Mr. Black of Comic Vine. Just imagine, rating super hero fashion for the web! With your keen eye, readers will know which character styles to avoid when fighting crime. Registered? What a sell-out! This title is dull. The heroine is dull. Your review was good. :) Thanks for the warning.

Doesnt the new costume remind any one else of the colors of spider mans?An maybe its only 3 issues cause they off the character in it?

I thought this first issue was good, It had a nice recap of Sara (Jackpot) Ehret's backstory. Some good villain appearances. 
 
It's about time there were more super-heroes and more super-heroes who have families. This was a good solid issue bu Guggenheim and Melo.

I read it. the storytelling was decent, so was the art. character comes off looking alot like Huntress
in action. again with the prior though, i really couldnt find myself caring about this character.
the ink could have been used for someone better.
