Jack is the designated name given to a series of advanced robotic cyborg constructions. The first Jack robot was built to enter the inaugural King of the Iron Fist Tournament. Various jacks have appeared, some have been upgraded and some have carried over on memories from the first. The first Jack was designed and constructed by the Russian military, with the help of Doctor Boskonovitch,
to assassinate Kazuya Mishima,
his creators fearful of his ambition. Jack was not successful. He was upgraded and his new upgraded version was known as Jack-2. At some point Jack 2 befriended a young girl named Jane. When her life was put into danger, Jack-2 managed somehow to override his programming in order to save her life by sacrificing his own. A young and distraught Jane decides to spend her life restoring ad rebuilding Jack-2. She turns to the Mishima Zaibatsu for funding.
Success varies, Jane manages to restore much of Jack-2 physically, but mentally as far as memory goes, he is still fragmented and much of his supposed humanity is washed away leaving a cold empty mechanical shell. Given that Doctor Boskonovitch played a role in his creation, it could be supposed that Jack are relatives of sorts of Alisa Bosconovitch.
Jack and Jack upgrades are Namco Bandai
characters. Jack was first introduced in the original Tekken franchise game released in 1996. Jack is upgraded frequently, and as such goes by all manner of names, including Jack, Jack-2, Gun-Jack, Jack-4, Jack-5 and Jack-6. Jack also has a long standing rival known as P-Jack as in Prototype-Jack. Jack's first appearance in a comic was in 2001's Tekken Forever #1
