Origin

Jack Trent was the pilot of the Starflash, a spaceship designed by Professor Fordyce. Jack had been hired to fly the ship and the Professor, along with Fordyce's daughter Carla and mechanic Don Porter, on an exploratory mission to Saturn's moons. En route they rescued a Martian whose own craft had damaged.

Creation

Jack Trent was created as the star of Hamilton and Co's new Jet Comic, but enjoyed only a single adventure before the title was cancelled.
