Attuma invades Canada with Torg as their mental slave because of the Control Pearl in the hands of an Atlantean mystic called Serestus. The Avengers respond and engage Torg and Attuma's army. Torg was relieved of his mental control when Triathlon removed the Control Pearl from the hands of Serestus. Torg was knocked back into the ocean by Jack of Hearts and Attuma's Atlantean army retreated.
Tyrant is a very powerful cosmic being that developed a lust for tyranny and conquest while serving as Galactus's herald. Over time Galactus learned of Tyrants betrayal and engaged him in a titanic battle which so much energy was released that it could have destroyed an entire galaxy. After Galactus defeated Tyrant he banished him to the far end of the universe. Tyrant over time built an arsenal upon his return to seek revenge on Galactus. When he returned he kidnapped some of the most powerful beings in our galaxy to drain there energy. Tyrant was later defeated once again. But not destroyed.
