Jack of Fables - Part 1.

Admittedly, this is the first Fables comic I've read. Mainly due to how difficult it is to get hold of Fables comics, especially when you want to start from the beginning. For any new Fables reader, I would recommend this, as you don't really need to know the back story of Fables to understand it. The storyline and dialogue is very smart and funny and it's quite fun spotting different Fables characters, although there's not much of a chance to do this, hopefully there will be later on. The pages are the thicker newspaper type instead of shiny, which I quite like, mainly because shiny-ness isn't needed due to the artwork (which is awesome) but also because I don't have to shift my comic into a certain position to read it (the light always shines off of the shiny ones). Looking forward to reading the rest of these, seems like a lot of fun. I marked it down a little because of Goldilocks at the end. She just wasn't attractive. For one, she looked old. Like, really old. Actually that's the main reason. Hotter women please!

    Artwork: 5/5.
