It'll be four years later when we catch up with Jack. The cast and crew got together for the world premiere.
Series star and Emmy® Award winner Kiefer Sutherland (“Jack Bauer”) and cast members Robert Carlyle (“Carl Benton”), Jon Voight (“Jonas Hodges”), Cherry Jones (“Allison Taylor”), Tony Todd (“Colonel Juma”), Hakeem Kae-Kazim (“Colonel Dubaku”) and Gil Bellows (“Frank Trammel”); plus series director Jon Cassar and executive producer Howard Gordon joined together for the world premiere for 24: REDEMPTION. The two-hour television event bridges the gap between seasons six and seven of the series and is the first new material from the “24” producers in nearly two years.
Filmed on location in South Africa and Los Angeles, the prequel catches up with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) on the African continent where he has sought solace in missionary work. He soon finds himself in the midst of a bloody uprising in the small fictitious African nation of Sangala where a ruthless dictator is drafting innocent children as soldiers in his army. As the vicious Colonel Dubaku descends on an orphanage in search of recruits, Jack enters into a one-man crusade at the behest of a friend to rescue the children and get them to safety.
24: REDEMPTION airs Sunday, Nov. 23 (8:00-10:00PM ET/PT) on FOX and will be released on DVD the following Tuesday, Nov. 25 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment as a special “Extended Cut” featuring over 10 minutes of all-new footage.
