Why does Jameson hate Spiderman so much? I know he's jealous of him, but if you read the comics and see the countless times he is an @$$ to Spidey, you can see there is MUCH more to his hatred than jealously. He hates him so much, and no one ever really explains why, why do you think they do that?

he hates him because everyone sees him as some big hero while his astronaut son(who i think might have died) is forgotten despite the fact that he doesn't hide his identity.

Plus he feels like vigilantes like Spider-Man actually endanger lives. He was a kid when Bucky, a teenaged kid, died working with Captain America.

no. he's still alive and thats only part of the reason.

all these reasons are good, but idk, there seems to be something under all that, like some unknown reason that he hates spiderman directly and not other heroes...there's just something i cant put my finger on

This is indeed a mystery- the deeper reasons for JJJ's unrelenting almost obsessive hatred for the wall crawler. Opposition to Spider Man due to purported "vigilanteism" CANNOT be the reason( Spider Man captures criminals but unlike the Punisher does not kill them- and even the Punisher is all but overlooked by the Daily Bugle's crusade against Spidey despite being a known killer). Jameson is a known fan of Captain America( true, EVERYBODY loves the shield slinger) and shows no comparable animus against other masked heroes like Daredevil or the X-Men, Iron Man( his attitude to "out" superheroes such as the Fantastic Four is unclear). It is possible that EVEN Jameson himself doesn't know the reason why!
