This is the first issue of the series which features the backup stories dealing with the Sinestro Corps, thus this issue feels more like two short stories as opposed to one long one.  In the first the Star Sapphire is back and reattached to Carol Ferris whose next course of action is to track down Hal.  Hal though (almost as you would expect) is getting to become quite interested.  This feels a little forced in terms of the plot and the character development over the course of the series, but it is nonetheless good to see Star Sapphire back after pretty much every other major villain has made an appearance thus far in the series.  The interplay between the two characters as always is interesting, with Hal not wanting to harm Carol too much, but there is an interesting twist at the end which makes the story a bit more than what it is being forced to be.  The backup story features the introduction of Despotellis.
