Mark Waid's Boom comics have been flip-flopping. One arc Incorruptible is the top dog and vice versa, but recently Irredeemable has been taking the crown for me. There's just something more visceral and high stakes with the Plutonian, especially now that he's returned to Earth and stranded Qubit.There's no doubt that Mark Waid is a top notch writer, but it's issues like this that emphasize the thematic cohesiveness of this work that really stands out.
