Empty Feeling
Irredeemable has been perfect up until now, i don't know what Waid has in store for us, but i would've thought ending the arc with Scylla avenging his brother Charybdis would've been pretty good. i only think that because the last two issues of exploration and fact finding have found us less than useful facts.
We all know that Bette Noir had an affair with the Plutonian and we knew her husband is probably going to freak out about it. Also in this issue, we hear more about The Plutonian's messed up childhood and we discover the deal with Samsara's sudden appearance and unconditional forgiveness of the plutonian (considering it was the discovery of the truth by Samsara that set him off). Scylla puts the moves on his brother's girl, which he's been hinting at doing since they left him to die at the hands of the Plutonian and the government's anti-paradigm contingency come to fruition.
This was a good issue, but in all honesty, i was disappointed. I expected more from the government's demon than the basic and obvious. I expected more content from this issue. But while the story was good, the action was rather weak. Where are you going with this Mark!? Where!? to say I'm not looking forward to #11 would be a total lie. ill be counting the days.
