All of them are awesome...

I like Todd Nauck's old-schooly one and Peret Nguyen's one.

#4 Posted by thechessclub (488 posts) - 1 year, 1 month ago - Show Bio

Surprisingly, Todd Nauck's was probably my fav. He had not having to draw eyes on his side though=P

Next one should be The Hulk handling a cell phone.

Darn it! Another video I cannot watch. I click play, and like the two others, it just turns to a blank white screen.

Aww, and I wanted to see this one too.

Always great!

Y'know, I was thinking it might be cool to make the challenge more meta than this every once in a while.

Nauck was my favorite, Buccellato a close second. I enjoy these art challenges, getting a bunch of DC artists to draw a Marvel character :P

#14 Posted by Bestostero (5596 posts) - 1 year, 1 month ago - Show Bio

i think Todd Nauck or Peter Nguyen were my favorites...i also liked that Buccellato went with a different route, they were all great really

#15 Posted by kennyshat (835 posts) - 1 year, 1 month ago - Show Bio

Buccellato's was nuts. It was like watching an artist draw something after the colorist already filled in the colors in some spots. Super cool.

I'm sad no one drew Iron Man in line for a rollercoaster

Being a fan of detail I'll say Todd Nauck's was by far the best. Definately not a fan of cartooney pictures.

#18 Posted by Ganthetsward20 (639 posts) - 1 year, 1 month ago - Show Bio

Awesome work on all their parts considering most of them were DC guys and they had no time to prepare!!

I thought it was interesting that more than one of them thought of Iron Man rollerskating down the track. I was hoping for one more mundane picture though, of IM actually sitting in the rollercoaster car, with real proportions, instead of the big head that the first guy drew. I'm always curious if they can draw the hero in something besides an action pose (i.e. sitting down or laying on a park bench).

Todd's FTW

I love these

I have to report a minor problem with the video player: after pausing the clip for more than a minute or so, the sound disappears and only refreshing the page brings it back. I double checked if the problem was with my browser and/or the installed flash player, but everything seems to be okay on my side.

It's really great to see the different process each artist takes when they have an idea, like a little sneak peak into their brains

Todd Nauck won the gold, Peter Nguyen the silver, and Dustin Nguyen and Brian Buccellato tied for the bronze IMHO.

#35 Posted by emirblade (10 posts) - 1 year, 1 month ago - Show Bio

Todd Nauck is one of my fav artists. Loved everyone of the drawings but his sketch was my favorite.

#36 Posted by Kowalczyk (17 posts) - 1 year, 1 month ago - Show Bio

This is fantastic! Great seeing the different way people handle the challenge. Buccellato was my favorite.

#37 Posted by erichr (39 posts) - 1 year, 1 month ago - Show Bio

Todd Nauck made an awesome one. If I remember correct I remember liking his the best on one of the previous ones as well. Crazy how he basically only uses circles.

#38 Posted by GamerGeek360 (250 posts) - 1 year, 1 month ago - Show Bio

Dustin Nguyen is my favorite artist so of course I liked that one and Todd Nauck's one was great too.

I love to see their reactions to the challenge, you can just see the gears working and the smoke coming out of their ears some times

the "WHaaaa....?!" reactions are awesome

And it's nice to see how some of the guys work. pencil to markers, some ink wash, some just flat out go to the big black sharpie, good stuff to learn with
