I loved this movie. I need to see it again. I forgot to stay after the credits...
Anyone catch Caps Shield on Tony's table when he was building one of the suits? There is a video on Youtube if you missed it.

I hope the Incredible Hulk is better that the first one. Although I liked the Ang Lee Hulk. It wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.

Can't wait for Avengers. Awesome.

September 10, 2008 - With the DVD and Blu-ray release of Iron Man right around the corner, IGN had the opportunity to visit the studios of the legendary Stan Winston. While you can expect our full account of the jaw-dropping experience, Iron-fans will be glad to know that we were able to squeeze a small bit of information on the upcoming sequel.

Artist Chris Swift said of the casting for the follow-up:

"The most I've heard is that there's a possibility of the War Machine. That would be Terrance Howard in this next one. I talked a lot with him on set and I said, 'Get ready. In the comic books, you end up in the suit.' And I think he's going to get his opportunity."

Just got back from the theater and i thought it was great!  IMO, i think origin stories slow down the movie since comic book fans already know everything.  There as about the same amount of action scenes in this as the first Iron Man but i feel that it had a pretty good build up to the final climax.

As to the Stan Lee cameo, I gotta agree with what Ryan said in the "Unscripted" review.   Everytime i see him in any marvel comics film i get so giddy but it's so obvious that the feeling doesn't last that long.  Here it's so quick and so easy to miss that spotting it makes it that much more rewarding.  I don't wanna spoil it for anyone that still plans to see it but:

It's in the first 5-10 minutes keep your eyes peeled.

I don't much about about the Justin Hammer character but it seems obvious that he was made young so he could provide comic relief, make of that what you will.

The post-credits teaser was pretty EPIC and makes me excited to see the next Avenger movie.  I'll give you a hint, it's NOT Captain America.

I saw this film last week (hooray for being in England!) and thought it was incredible.
I'm glad they don't release comic book films in 3D. I'm personally not a fan of paying twice as much for a headache and don't think all the fast-paced action would look good at all. What's everyone else's opinion?

so what was stan lees cameo? i missed it.

#162 Posted by Darkest_Thicket (4 posts) - - Show Bio
@carnivalofsins00:  There was a first-person camera scene as Tony was leaving the Stark Expo, he was mistaken for Larry King.

Just saw it last night and it wasnt to bad.  At the end when Tony and Fury are talking about the Avengers, Fury said he wanted Iron Man but not Tony!  Does that mean Rhodey or something else entirely?

Saw it today, and really really enjoyed it.  Having everybody basically say that the first was so much better, I went in with some pretty low expectations, and I came out really liking it.  All the performances were great, and although the story kinda disappeared at times, it was never a boring movie.  It ALMOST had one too many characters, and as such, certain characters didn't quite get as much screen time as they deserved, but any time they did get was well-used.
Fight scenes were cool, great comedy elements.  I'd give it a 4.5/5.

@howlettgrowl
Don Cheadle is a good actor but he just doesn't fit rhodey's character

who would you rather play the role of rhodey???

@Zachattack1239:  I didn't think Terrance Howard was the best choice but he was at least better than Don Cheadle
#173 Posted by Zachattack1239 (109 posts) - - Show Bio
@howlettgrowl: hmmm... good question. I thought Terrence Howard looked alot like Jim but it felt nothing like jim's personality. Cheadle on the other hand didn't look or resemble rhodey's character at all. Im not sure of the actor i would put in for rhodey though... just not cheadle

This movie is enjoyable in-spite of its flaws but there is nothing great to look for. The script could have been a lot better and if some lame jokes had been deleted and the editing would have been perfect then this would have been a much better movie. Try this Watch Iron Man 3 Online Free HD

I am. Though Iron Man 3 was a disapointment.

#183 Posted by Noone301994 (7062 posts) - - Show Bio

@cyberwarrior: I completely agree with you on that one. Shane Black definitely appealed to regular moviegoers instead of comic book and Iron Man fans... Oh well... RDJ said he doesn't like doing the standalone Iron Man movies, he prefers to be with Hemsworth and Ruffalo and the rest of the gang.

The worst is the fact that they actually went away from the original, first IM movie... the terrible soundtrack, lame enemies and the fact that IM 3 suits aren't tougher that Ivan Vanko's drones did it. I don't want to hear about that movie any more.

He did? Interesting...

#185 Posted by Noone301994 (7062 posts) - - Show Bio

@cyberwarrior: Yeah it pisses me off too.

Yeah so he might be in all of the Avengers movies but the standalone Iron Man movies might be someone else.

That would be pretty dull, i think, because I doubt that someone would fit in the role same-good.

#187 Posted by Noone301994 (7062 posts) - - Show Bio

@cyberwarrior: Yeah I agree but they will probably show more Iron Man and less Tony Stark if they get rid of RDJ, which I am perfectly fine with. Iron Man 1 and 3 didn't show him being a badass in the suit as much as I would have wanted him to

I ain't sure on that one. From the 3 movies he was mostly badass in first one. Wasn't he?

#189 Posted by Noone301994 (7062 posts) - - Show Bio

@cyberwarrior: Ehhh yeah I guess... You kind of had to wait like an hour in a half before he finally gets into the suit and flies to the middle east to kill terrorists. After that scene it pretty much doesn't show him doing much else... His fight with Obadiah was mediocre in my opinion... I felt Iron Man 2 had the best suit scenes. Like when he fights vanko in monaco, fights rhodey at his house, and then the drone scene. There were a lot more action scenes than Iron Man 1. Iron Man 3 had a lot but it hardly showed him doing anything in the suit... Just getting his ass kicked a lot.

If they get a new guy then they might not have too many 'dialogue Tony Stark' moments and more 'Iron Man kicking ass in a suit' moments you know? I love the CGI fighting scenes. i think the drama of the movie should come second and CGI scenes first

Well, if where talking about which movie had most action scenes, than '2' is probably the winer. I just meant that the few battles we had in IM "1" were pretty badass. The second movie, on the other hand, had much more, that's right even if they were not as cool as those from it's presedor if you ask me. A few words on the "action" showed in '3': Iron Man didn't look cool even for a moment, Stark did time after time, but the Invincible Iron Man didn't. All he did was, as you said:

Just getting his ass kicked a lot.

@cyberwarrior: Yeah that scene in the middle-east when he kills those terrorists is just awesome. Like I said, I prefer the action scenes and moments when you sit there and say, "Wow. That was badass" He had the most in the avengers and in iron man 2

Same here. IM "1" had only few awesome fights but also some brainpower. The '2' didn't have that much of it but instead, he ofered 2-hour non-stop badassnes. Avengers did the same. I've bought the disc on blu-ray mainly because of the Iron Man-kicking-butt scenes.

#193 Posted by Noone301994 (7062 posts) - - Show Bio

@cyberwarrior: Hahaha nice. Yeah those scenes are so cool when they are in high definition
