I am currently working on a 10 issue mini-series starting at the end of March 2010 for JG Comics. It's called The War Between Worlds and it is a modern version of Marvel vs DC. It is basically the mid-90's JLA going up against a randomly selected team of Avengers. JLA members include: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash ( Wally West), Green Lantern ( Kyle Rayner), Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, and Plastic Man. Avengers include: Captain America, Iron Man, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Thor, and Luke Cage. Other guests include, Green Arrow ( Oliver Queen), the Atom ( Ray Palmer), Firestorm ( Ronnie Raymond), Nightwing, Zatanna, Black Canary, Steel, Captain Marvel, the Hulk, Hawkeye, Falcon, Sentry, Wonder Man, War Machine, Black Panther, Yellow Jacket, Amazo, Ultron, and a mystery villain.

There are two mini-series called Superman and Batman vs Vampires and Werewolves and Superman and Batman vs Aliens and Predators. I think there should be a Superman and Batman vs Captain America and Iron Man. It could work so well once you get them in a setting where they have to battle. In issue #1, you can have Superman vs Captain America and Batman vs Iron Man. Then have them switch opponents in issue #2. It would get a lot of attention from fans since they all love Marvel/DC team-ups or battles.

Once AGAIN (AGH!) Right after Dark Reign is complete in Marvel, we get, Seige. How many years has this been going on? Civil War started this, then Secret Invasion, which directly tied into Dark reign which is probably going to tie into this new story arc.  The biggest problem with Dark reign was that Marvel made it so they help there large titles, acquire money. Dark Avengers does not need any assistance when it comes to buying issues. Well that is one crappy boook I don't buy, now what are other crappy bendis writen books is marvel going to shove down our throats? I love Marvel. I know it may not seem that way, but I wish they would stop with these awful money grubbing events. Please Respond. Thank-You!

So I am a little confused over the Heroes Reborn story. From what I understand, after the heroes died facing Onslaught, Franklin Richards created a pocket universe in which the heroes were reborn and lived slightly different lives with different origins. I've also been told Franklin created a Counter Earth, which is where they resided. I have some questions regarding continuity and the aftermath of this event. Unfortunately, I did not read Heroes Reborn: The Return, where it may have all been explained.

i ask these questions in a understanding and editing stand point:

1. Was it a pocket universe, a Counter Earth, or combination of both that Franklin sent them to?

2. The heroes who 'died' in the battle with Onslaught had new origins. Upon their return to the 616 universe, did they forget all of these events? Were they reminded by someone of their true pasts? Do they live both of these lives currently? Were the Heroes Reborn origins retconned? The only example I have is when Thing came back in Silver Surfer Volume 3 and told Alicia that he was a different person now and 'needed some time to figure out who he was.' It also mentions on Iron Man's page that he retained his memories.

3. In all four series created to show how these characters lived their new lives, there was a normal supporting cast of characters who did not die in the battle with Onslaught. For example, Nick Fury, the Inhumans (except Crystal), Silver Surfer and Galactus. Were these all created by Franklin as well to give the illusion of a new world? Nick Fury and Silver Surfer (among others) were alive and well during these events in the 616 universe (Galactus was actually 'dead' at the time).  Should info on these types of characters be placed in the alternate reality sections of their pages?

4. Most importantly, where does this information fit into the wiki?

I appreciate and answers, comments or input. Most examples I find on the internet are unclear as to how this fits into 616 continuity. Even some people who know much more than I have told me they are not sure either. Maybe we can't decide if it is canon or not, but let's at least figure out how we can incorporate the info to the site.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I know it's a little long.

Margarita's Pick: NOVA (Classic costume)

First Appearance:

NOVA #1 (1976)

Last Regular Appearance:

ANNIHILATION: NOVA #1 (2006)
Margarita's Take: "It can be tough to balance fashion that is both stylish and functional, but Nova's blue and gold costume succeeds on both counts. The three gold bursts on his chest and red and gold helmet add dynamic elements to the look without being over-the-top. And besides looking great, the helmet picks up radio transmissions and the entire ensemble doubles as a space suit. Talk about being fashion forward!"
Spotlight Comic: ANNIHILATION: PROLOGUE (2006)-The Nova Corps' last stand!

10. DOCTOR DOOM

First Appearance:

FANTASTIC FOUR #5 (1962)

Last Regular Appearance:

Currently in use

Margarita's Take:

"A tunic over armor? No thanks..."
Spotlight Comic: BOOKS OF DOOM #1 (2005)-The history of Doom!

9. IRON FIST (Modern costume)

First Appearance:

IMMORTAL IRON FIST #6 (2007)

Last Regular Appearance:

Currently in use

Margarita's Take:

"Don't let Iron Fist's yellow belt fool you; this guy packs a punch with his martial arts expertise and looks stylish doing it. This costume gets an update from the prior Kung Fu ensemble. The yellow emblem on his chest is the only ornate detail to this suit, with yellow gloves and mask to offset the green body suit. The overall effect is classy and understated."
Spotlight Comic: IMMORTAL IRON FIST #8 (2007)- Danny Rand takes his new look to the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven tournament!

8. HAWKEYE (Classic costume)

First Appearance:

TALES OF SUSPENSE #57 (1964)

Last Regular Appearance:

AVENGERS #76 (2004)

Margarita's Take:

"Super heroes are larger than life, and should have costumes that set them apart from the crowd. Hawkeye's vivid purple and blue costume is flamboyant and memorable. The look hints at a medieval tunic, but with a dramatic colorful update, creating a strong visual identity for this modern day Robin Hood."
Spotlight Comic: AVENGERS #16 (1965)-Hawkeye shines up his classic togs to join the Avengers!

7. DAREDEVIL

First Appearance:

DAREDEVIL #7 (1965)

Last Regular Appearance:

Currently in use

Margarita's Take:

"He may be blind, but Matt Murdock still has an eye for fashion. Having a costume consisting of a single bright color is a bold choice, but the fit and matching accessories of the gloves, boots, and belt defy style conventions with positive results. The entwined double D logo gives the ensemble a subtle but strong sense of identity."
Spotlight Comic: DAREDEVIL #8 (1965)-The Man Without Fear sees how his crimson costume holds up against Stilt Man!

6. VENOM (Original)

First Appearance:

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #299 (1988)

Last Regular Appearance:

SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #5 (2003)
Margarita's Take: "Venom is a good example of how the same outfit can look dramatically different on two people. On Spider-Man, the black suit with white spider emblem works well and hints at a darker side to his persona. However, on Venom the suit takes on greater sinister proportions, showing off this villain's sculpted physique to great effect."
Spotlight Comic: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #316 (1989)-It's Venom vs Spider-Man, round two!

5. WOLVERINE (Brown and tan)

First Appearance:

UNCANNY X-MEN #139 (1980)

Last Regular Appearance:

WOLVERINE: ORIGINS #27 (2008)
Margarita's Take: " Wolverine's look has alternated over the years between two main costumes. The yellow and blue ensemble, while a tried and true classic, does not suit him nearly as well as the brown and tan. The latter is more masculine and less cartoonish, and the earth tones compliment his brawn and show off his claws better than the primary colors.  As one of the toughest heroes in the Marvel Universe, this costume and its wearer demands to be taken seriously."
Spotlight Comic: WOLVERINE: ORIGINS #1 (2006)-Logan returns to his classic look as he investigates his past!

4. BLACK BOLT

First Appearance:

FANTASTIC FOUR #45 (1965)

Last Regular Appearance:

Currently in use
Margarita's Take: "When you are a silent but powerful monarch, your clothes should speak volumes. Black Bolt cuts a sleek and imposing figure in a black suit with silver accents and lines zigzagging down his torso. What makes this look truly memorable and unique is the small antenna on his forehead and the metal wings that unfold from beneath his arms.  Black Bolt makes a great impression without saying a word."
Spotlight Comic: FANTASTIC FOUR #46 (1966)-The FF feels the power of Black Bolt!

3. IRON MAN (Classic red and gold)

First Appearance:

TALES OF SUSPENSE #48 (1963)

Last Regular Appearance:

IRON MAN #200 (1985)
Margarita's Take: "Using the sleek design elements and vivid colors of a racecar, Tony Stark's red and gold Iron Man armor is not only streamlined striking, it's just plain cool. It took a few tries to get the armor just right, but the result is an eye-catching, perfectly sculpted suit of armor that looks better on Stark than any tuxedo."
Spotlight Comic: TALES OF SUSPENSE #50 (1963)-Clad in his classic red and gold, Iron Man meets the Mandarin!

2. STORM (Mohawk and leather)

First Appearance:

UNCANNY X-MEN #173 (1983)

Last Regular Appearance:

UNCANNY X-MEN #225 (1988)
Margarita's Take: "Not many characters in the Marvel Universe could pull off a Mohawk and leather ensemble while retaining the sense of majesty that Storm does. This look transforms her into a modern super hero-edgy and tough yet still classy and dignified."
Spotlight Comic: UNCANNY X-MEN #201 (1986)-Storm and her edgy look take on Cyclops for leadership of the X-Men!

1. SPIDER-MAN (Classic costume)

First Appearance:

AMAZING FANTASY #15 (1962)

Last Regular Appearance:

Currently in use

Margarita's Take:

"What is more iconic than Spidey's classic red and blue suit? Black spider webs on red are offset by solid blue panels to create one of the most recognizable costumes in comics' history. Even without the black spider emblem on his chest, you would recognize this super hero anywhere."
Spotlight Comic: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #259 (1984)-The red and blue returns!

So i had this idea a few years ago when my brother got into Fantasy Football, but i think it'd be cool if we could somehow organize a Fantasy League for superheroes. My idea:

1. Set up groups of people to draft/compete against
2. Set up a list of available characters
3. Draft them

now here's the tricky part. In fantasy football (i'm not 100% sure how it works but...) these fantasy teams comprised of hand selected players compete against each other, and gain points(?) based on how well they play in real life.  And depending on who plays and doesnt play per week, the teams can be arranged accordingly.

So...i was thinking that the superhero teams drafted could have like 12 members per team, and then each week, depending on if they appear in a comic or not, 7 heroes can be chosen to "play" per week.  Now as to how they gain points? I was thinking they automatically get points for titles they appear in, and then based off their actions in the book, they gain or lose points.  now that's the complicated idea.  How to determine which actions gain points or not would be tricky. but here's my only thinking as to how this would work without having to create an actual list of actions that gain or lose points:
-Have a live chat/fourm chat thing. or a PM conversation where you list which heroes you have, where they appeared, and a list of things they did per issue.
-then, together with your opponent of the week, determine the overall point value of the character per week
-add up total scores
-compare
-winner advances

this is just an idea i thought i'd share to finally get it off my mind

Not including Stan Lee's, Marvel hyas had a few movie cameos. Here are a few:
At the end of Spiderman 2, when Mary Jane is running to down the street in her wedding dress, only one person looks at her. This guy is wearing black and strongly resembles Punisher!!!!!!
In Iron Man you see Captain America's shield in the background when tony is putting on his Mark III armour. Also in the credits of Iron Man you see an armour design with a shoulder cannon (War Machine) and a symbol which features Ten Rings (a hint to Mandarin). All through the film you see a S.H.I.E.L.D. operative and after the credits you see Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
In Incredible Hulk, Bruce Banner goes to the Arctic to commit suicide but becomes the Hulk. When Hulk smashes an ice glacier, for a split second, you see a frozen Steve Rogers! Also during the film Thaddeus Ross uses S.H.I.E.L.D. a number of times. During a thunderstorm you see a flash of lightning a something or maybe someone (Thor) crashing to the ground. At the end when Bruce drops himself from the helicopter to stop Abomination, inbetween two buildings in the background you see someone in red swinging (Daredevil/Spiderman). After the credits you see Tony Stark meeting General Ross about a team.
P.S. Look on youtube if you don't believe me!
