Plot Summary
James Rhodes has the power of an entire army at his disposal. He's the War Machine and maybe the last bastion of human hope against the Skrull Armada. Too bad for Rhodey, he's always been a weapon and is not used to take critical decisions on the battlefield, and his decision to aid the Russian Winter Guard, may be a mistake he'll regret for what's left of his life.
Summary
After kicking some alien tail in space. Rhodey follows a Skrull ship that escaped the initial barrage from his Mega War Machine and takes it down. But as he bounces around through orbit he goes off course and lands in Russia. Where the Winter Guard are in the process of loosing, the skrulls are after their nuclear arsenals. Finding that he cant stand by and watch them be slaughtered.
But Dynamo sees his interference as something not needed, and when the Winter Guard are out numbered an retreat they leave War Machine behind in the middle of a Skrull ambush. And Soon War Machine is captured an wakes up...on the operating table.

So This issue begins with Rhodes, in his new space station transformer armor, begins to kick the crap out of a whole hell of a lot of skrull butt. While this book is exciting, and it fills out its entertainment qouta, it does lend itself to some questions. Granted if Stark was not supposed to be the thinker he is, we could get past these things. As it stands, " Does the armor have to be uncloaked to fire?" "Would it not have maid more logistic sense to just create a cube or sphere that could fire in all directions rather than a suit of armor with limited human movement?" just a couple of the questions I thought about when I read this issue. I did like the segment with the Russians. I think governments can be arrogant and care only enough for their own power base even in a time of crisis. Heck some would even see a crisis as a way of grabbing power by playing on the fears of the public.
