Iron Man # 89 - The Singularity (Part 4)

The man reveals himself to be Clarence Ward, indeed the man whos terrorist cave was destoryed by Tony. The fight again continues on the front lawn of Tony's house. Clarence picks up a S.H.I.E.L.D tank and throws it at tony who dodges. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are under orders to shoot and capture the last Iron Man standing. The S.H.I.E.L.D. commander instructs his soldiers to forget who gave them the armor on their backs, who trained them to use it, and who was a former Secretary of Defense, faceitously of course.

In Stark Tower, Pepper is still on a mission to find out how to shut the Iron Man Armor down. She remembers that there is a code she can enter to send to the Stark satelite to shut down all Tony Stark technology. Harold makes a point that there is Stark technology everywhere (i.e. in hospitals, nurseries, school yards). Pepper states that she can focus the satellite to only shut down technology within a certain radius. She aims the satellite over Tony's house and prepares to enter the code. She enters it and crosses her fingers...

On Tony's front lawn all of a sudden both he and Clarence cannot move. It is as their armor has frozen and will not move. Tony has a kill switch and his armor falls right off of his body. As for the other Iron Man, it is a different story. He is frozen on his knees. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents take him into custody and allow Tony to enter his house unscathed.

A week later, Tony is in Japan attending Rukimo's funeral and to pay his respects. He regrets not giving her a chance in real life and for not taking the proper amount of time purusing the relationship.

After the funeral he heads back to New York and makes a public apology for insulting the Latverian ambassador. He attempts to clear up his name publicly and offers everyone else an apology who may have been affected. He heads back to Stark Industries and reclaims his spot in the company...
