It's Over finished but it never ends
Iron Man 3 is the third film in the Iron Man series and Marvel's first film since The Avengers. No spoilers here folks, you can go somewhere else for those.
First off, The movie is excellent, better than Iron man in fact and that's something given how great that was. The cast is as always of excellent caliber. Robert Downey Jr. is excellent as always as Tony/Iron Man, conveying all the aspects of him and how Tony deals with events from Avengers is well done.. Paltrow's Pepper is also great though her romance with Tony hasn't progressed as much as it probably should have.Cheadle as Rhodey is still great and his interactions with Tony are excellent.
The villains are also very good, The Mandarian by Ben Kingsley is done very well and it's nice to see a Mandarian that isn't a Chinese Sterotype. Guy Pierce as Aldrich Killian is an excellent villain, who is never played over the top and gets a lot of good action scenes.
What helps this movie a lot is that this isn't a lead-in to another movie and while the Avengers movie is important in this story it doesn't dominant it unlike Iron Man 2: The Avengers Prologue. There are a lot of Iron Man in-jokes see how many you can spot and the efffects overall are excellent. The ending is also good and as hard as it is to believe would make a fitting swansong for Iron Man. )but I doubt that is going to happen)
The problems with the movie; Well as with the first two movies, the final battle takes place at night! Come on how am I supposed to be impressed with all the armours and effects if I can't make half of them out. Secondly one of the twists isn't going to sit well with some people (I'm not going to say which one). Finally while there is a good deal of Rhodey action there isn't much of the Iron Patroit in action.
Overall Iron Man 3 is a great movie, and if you enjoyed the other movies you will enjoy this.
Also if you can, stay for the extra final scene it's great if not groundbreaking (and no it has NOTHING to do with Guardians of the Galaxy)
