Iris West is named after her Great Aunt. She has a twin brother named Jai West. They were both originally twins at the same age but during their infant stage, their father Wally West (3rd Flash) was in a battle with Superboy-Prime during Infinite Crisis, He ran so fast that he took Superboy-Prime into the speed force with him and also Bart Allen (4th Flash). After that he reappeared where he last saw his wife Linda, She was sitting there holding the twins. She Saw Wally and grabbed hold of him after he said he had to go away so at that instant Wally, Linda, Jai, and Iris all disappeared to another planet. After sometime they all returned back to their real earth, but Iris and Jai were older than they should be. When Iris and Jai were 3 months old Wally and Linda discovered that their twins were growing up faster than usual. At First they showed no signs of their father's powers but later is revealed they do. Since their return Wally has been training both of his twins on how to use and control their powers. Even though Iris and Jai are twins somehow they are not the same age anymore. Iris is 10 years old and her brother Jai is only eight years old. The reason why is still unknown.

Powers

Her Superspeed currently, at the time only manifests itself as the ability to vibrate herself, and those she touches, through solid objects, at one time she once ran as fast as her father for only about 10 minutes. Iris can also sync her speed force aura with her father's, causing her to fly behind Wally when Wally thinks of her.
