    Stark Is Resilient

    The Story:

Tony Stark continues to push his plans forward concerning Stark Resilient by debuting his very first car that doesn't use a drop of gasoline. The Hammer girls continue to try and make his life miserable by going to extreme lengths.

    My Thoughts:

This is the finale of the Stark Resilient story arc that started off sort of slow and unexciting. Matt Fraction failed to draw me in early but begins to make up for it here. Things finally become more interesting and we see Fraction begin to reveal a much larger plot that is set in motion.

The action parts were done nicely and really kept this story alive and beating. Sometimes it feels as if the story has no pulse or life, but then Fraction will show a fraction of brilliance and do something out of the ordinary to draw you back in and remind you that Iron Man is an awesome character. I love the way Tony Stark had to be resilient (yes the pun is intended) to overcome great odds without use of his Iron Man armor. I'm beginning to like this new Tony Stark we're seeing. There's definitely still traces of his former self there, but he seems dedicated to a whole new direction and way of life which is sort intriguing.

The last issue is what really got me excited. More so the last few pages where a certain couple of Iron Man villains show up and appear to have formed an alliance of some sort. Now I definitely can't wait to continue reading this series. Hopefully Fraction will step it up and deliver some amazing material.

Salvador Larroca's art is probably the best part about this comic. His art makes it worthwhile and has me coming back even when Fraction's writing lacks consistency.

A solid end to the story arc but still nothing to brag and boast about. I'd check it out if you're an Iron Man fan or have been enjoying the series up to this point.
