The Man with a Plan
Stane attempts to find the bomb Mandarin placed inside his body while Tony Stark executes his plan to get the government off his back. Meanwhile, Stark Resilient World Headquarters shuts down after an infiltrator wrecks havoc on the facility.
Plus
The cover art where Stark tries to take off his magnetic heart creates controversy and incites curiosity for readers to pick up this issue. The plot for this story arc is starting to get a little clearer as bits of information is handed to the readers bit by bit. The art wasn't perfect but it was good enough to go hand in hand with the action contained in this issue. Readers will be led to nicely drawn locations multiple times in this issue.
Minus
As much as I loved the artwork and layout for this issue, the pace was very fast and everything was happening quickly. The story shifted too many times from one place to another. The creators attempted to pen a lot of mysteries in this short issue and it was too much. One thing about controversies in an issue is that you have to give your readers some answers as well, and this comic not only fails at that but goes overboard by showcasing too many things that are just popping out of the blue.
Final Score
This story arc features a vulnerable Tony Stark who is trying to give up his alternate life as Iron Man. This is a significant part of Tony's life and I feel that the creators are branching out too far instead of focusing solely on Stark. The art and action still makes this a relatively good buy, but you might want to pick up other titles instead of this. 3.5/5 stars.
