Who's stronger? What's up with the mystery? And I feel another battle about to commence!

Who's stronger? Invincible or Omni Man? Is any of that important to you and your story telling needs? However, if I was told to make a choice between the two; Invincible would have my vote. Six words: Never go against the title character.

    The Good

Could this be a bad thing?
Could this be a bad thing?

*Spoiler* Invincible loses in the strength contest. Or does he? Invincible saw a Viltrumite while he and his dad were having a strength contest and might've thrown in the towel. However, isn't Omni Man the new emperor of his people ushering in a new age of peace? Hmmm, suspicious? Yeah, I think so too! Kirkman did an outstanding job at introducing this and the possibilities of story telling that follow it!

Moving past the Viltrumite watching the arm wrestling match, this was a solid issue. Still in the flow of getting off a major story and easing us into the next major thing, Robert Kirkman is already throwing out future plot points! Invincible's family having to deal with knowing the secrecy of Eve being pregnant, Allen charging Battle Beast to hunt down Thragg, and the mystery behind Rex! Three of the major highlights from this issue. Robert Kirkman handles these three plot point teases extremely well. Especially with the two that don't consist of Invincible; making them feel like an isolated event that can hold it's own without the title character. I really want to know if Rex will be the next super villain of the series, solely because he made a comment last issue about "missing" being ruler of a world.

The artwork by Ryan Ottley is still fantastic -- if you were wondering. 20 years from now when we look at older Invincible issues with Ottley's artwork; he will forever be remembered, not for his awkward dinner sequences, but as the king of blood bath fight sequences.

    The Bad

Doc Seismic took away from this issue. If his events happened at the end of the comic, it would've led to me having a full immersive experience. However, I kept thinking "who's this guy, should I remember him?" during the comic.

    The Verdict

4 out of 5. I recommend you pick up Invincible and decide for yourself if you want to join Robert Kirkman's crazy good adventure of awesomeness!
